idiots living in a prosperous and lovely town, running around, acting like gangsta when they have a perfectly good job and loads of friends...end up going to jail because they're stupid and don't know a good thing when it's looking them right in the face.
Although all people that overly indulge in their favourite subculture until they become a charicature are pretty lost (yes, that include hippies), the ones of the gansta subculture are particulary annoying with their hoes, guns and agressive streetlife-nonsense. I'd almost get started about their pathetic projections on other people but yeah, when I thought of it that's the vice of every subculture (the views are just different).
you said it man...i can be acepting of the clothes and the style and the music, but, sadly the crime/stealing lifestyle comes along with it. Those stupid pussies pulled a gun on me robbed me. They have no real work ethic when it comes to drugs, but they will say they "hustle" hard, "hustling" involves actually selling drugs to people not fucking robbing them and ripping them off. I think if these dumb fucks want to make money they should take a basic economics class. hey morons, if you give people good deals, they will come back to you more and in the long term you will make MORE money, you are too stupid to realize this, and that is sad and pathetic.
gangsta culture is not harmless. people are people, yes. that is why we all judge people equally; based on their actions. and gansta culture encourages actions which are selfish, violent, harmful, and that reverse so much of the social progress achieved in the last century. it even, paradoxically, encourages racism. "OOOOH, WHITE BOY GONNA RAP?? NAWWW" what is there to respect here? that some people can go from selling rocks to selling records? so what? any culture can produce that. that is not caused by gangsta culture, that is caused despite gangsta culture. and yes, this is just one trend of so many that youths have engaged in; young people haven't discovered who they are yet (hell, most people never do!) and joining a hood or gang is like joining the army or joining a church; it gives you a purpose that you could not otherwise find elsewhere, not necessarily due to weakness in character, just due to the fact that the human condition is brutal and difficult, and finding purpose is singly the hardest thing in the universe, period. therefore i both understand gangsta culture fully, and hate it fully.
let's ban gangster culture. the clothing/speaking/music style has gone far enough. it's time we put an end to it once and for all. i'm about to write a letter to my senator suggesting people who wear fubu should be fined and repeat offenders imprisoned. i call it preemptive sentencing. hell, they're about to stab someone...or something.
Oh. Yeah, great. We come into 2009 with a black person in the executive office of the US and the first thing we should do is outlaw the second largest subculture in the American black community. Yeah that's gonna happen. No, I knew you were being sarcastic. But seriously, I think that when the gangster culture is emulated by the Hispanic kids as far south as Costa Rica, and there are shoot outs between the drug gangs in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Halifax, for fucks sake. The last time I was there it was like stepping into the 1950s!) that something needs to be done. This is not like stopping Native Americans from speaking their language in schools. This is kids killing kids over silly shit and it needs to stop.
You have posted possibly the most ignorant statement I've ever seen on these forums, and that is indeed an accomplishment. How you managed to connect Barack Obama's historic achievement of the highest office in the land to the propogation of this dangerous, illiterate culture is beyond my extreme intelligence to comprehend. Your grammatical skills of expression are atrocious and I doubt if you truly can understand how foolish your opinions sound to those of use who are logical thinkers. Race is not the predominant issue anymore with this problem; I live in a predominantly white town, and I assure you the kids here embrace the 'gangsta' lifestyle just as much as anywhere else. 'Because now black people have the right to feel better then(sic) us.' Please, learn how to use the english language; and when you do, don't use it to unsuccessfully attempt to express flawed, racist ideas.
just because someone doesn't know how to spell doesn't mean you should discriminize, you. you know some latin and that doesn't make you too cool. just gatta stand up for my man, he's been through a lot of shit and he doesn't like the whole idea that SOME black people because where they come from think they should act ghetto and make themselves look bad and make a stereotype, and the whole barack obama comment is because young joshua has a complex mind, him and i actually got in an arguement about this last night, he actually has reasons to back these things up and he is not racist what so ever, he listens to rap, he grew up in a black area his entire life until he moved with me, just actually read what HE has to say and don't think he is some skin head racist prick, don't make fun of someone because they can't spell... that's just awful.
I believe that the capacity to express oneself properly when advancing an argument does indeed factor into how your argument will be received; the criticism of his grammar stands, as does my distaste for his suggestion that the election of Barack Obama has impacted the behavior of a deviant subculture that truthfully is not confined to one race in particular. Your declarations as to his background and musical tastes are irrelevant. Additionally, I never resorted to insults ('skin head racist prick'?). I did read what he had to say, found it worthy of criticism (the parts that I could understand), and expressed my thoughts. To my knowledge, it isn't necessary to agree with each other in this forum. If the individual choses to engage me in discourse, he is free to do so.
you are so cool because you can add words like that into your sentences, boy oh boy cozmo can i please be as smart as you
