    man all this hating
it probably wasnt the smartist idea to come on this forum and say "I rap, it sucks",
but everybody calling her and idiot is just going to make the rap croud look like rs that cant tolorate other people's opinions. I dont like the rap i've herd, but that is the just the mainstream crap, so im not going to base my opinion on that.

Most mainstream music is crap. Especially retarded songs like "My Grills" (some people don't understand that WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR GODDAMN TEETH!). The only rap music I listen to is Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprosy (there music ISN'T shallow and perverted). But why can't people just accept that and get over it INSTEAD of starting posts like this in a forum for people who actually like rap. Maybe this thread should just be closed or something.

I must admit that I prefer instrumental hip hop than vocal stuff, although DJ Krush has sokme pretty good vocal stuff, as does DJ shadow.

I was put off by that gangsta evil stuff.

Any vocals that contain some sort of a melody, I can accept and/or respect.
    Rap's just not my thing.

Hate yourself! Only a White person would put this on a Rap forum where we that Love HipHop/Rap are trying to chat. It just shows how racist White people are!

What does that make you? As racist as anybody. I'd say it's more like "Only a child would go out of her way to make a post ..." yadda yadda. It's called trolling. And yes, it's fucking stupid. It has nothing to do with being white.

I don't give a fuck what color you are, rap sucks, hip-hop sucks, whatever the fuck you wanna call it. It's stupid-ass garbage that promotes ignorance to the masses via the allure of rags to riches, ghetto to glory... it's exploitation as far as I'm concerned. Whatever, rap has become the tool of the man to further hold down the people, disgusting that no one even realizes it.

and yes i've heard "the underground stuff yo".. at least that doesn't promote ignorance as much as most of the mainstream does, it just promotes shoddy musicianship.

i'm sorry, i was defending you up to this point but now you just lost me. First you say that rap sucks, hence the title of your thread, and then when people start to criticize you, you say that rap is sweet. What is it, dietcoketree? Jesus, you're dodging criticism with stupid responses more often than Dubya now.

    I concur.

babbling over beats doesn't amuse me anymore, I'm no longer an adolescent.

Kept the instrumental music, though... Dabrye, DJ Food, Machine Drum, Malcom Kipe, K&D, Kid Loco, Thievery Corp, Prefuse 73...you get the idea. I'm all about the infectious grooves.

It's just a different way of making music. If it doesn't float your boat, then just leave it alone. This thread has gone on WAY to long.

I did leave it alone but then I saw a dam hypocritical response in here calling racism on nothing that has to do with race, I felt like someone needed to chime in. Everybody already knows what I think about rap who has read this thread.
