Thats why I am not a hippie....i am the last yippie. if more people start saying that they are yippies, ill think of a new way to define myself. its all the same thing with all the same values really, i just like to be unique with what i am doing in one way or another.
I've never really noticed any "fake hippies" at my school. There are PLENTY of people who smoke marijuana and where hippie-associated clothes, but few of them even vaguely seem to be playing the role. Of course, I agree with plenty of the people here. Why bother observing other people's faults when you could be improving on your own? Not to say you should be self-absorbed, though. But people can be who they want to be, they'll grow out if it if they aren't the "real deal."

I don't think there is such thing as a fake anything as that would mean everythings real and the more you think about it the more unreal it become but then what is real and unreal and how would you define it as its based on each person perception which is different from person to person so then what is fake if nothing really exsists as one persons perception of a hippie may be real and true but someone else looking at it sees it as fake and unreal, and then you have to say to yourself does it matter? If your happy with your state of mind and you exsist or not exsist and you love or dream or chase clouds, its what inside yourself surely what matters cause you only control yourself in this world so why get hyped on what someone else is doing if they're happy with what you call fake thats great I think thats what matters, I wouldn't want people to change cause their perception didn't fit in with someone elses, it would be a shame to rob someone elses happiness and the world of diversity for the sake of someone elses perception
The whole argument is worth a pantload really. If someone comes in here and says "I hate fake hippies" and people try to convince or argument against it then what are we getting done? Really. I think everyone knows that people say these things to enflame others. We delt with this sort of thing a long time ago with Loudi's whole "On a dare" thing.
