I have a sister 3,5 years younger than me. We NEVER engaged in such tomfoolery, I certainly think it's a no-no. We have a close relationship as adults.. but sex is not a topic we ever discuss or discussed, it's private. Stuffsuch as dating, drinking, chat up techniques, what girls like yeah sure but there are millions of women and girls on the planet enough without involving your siblings.. why did the Egyptians die out? ask yourself that..

 

Ironically, you're in a country, France, where I've read that incest between consenting adults is legal, the point where they can even marry. Don't know if that's true or not, but that's what I've read or heard.

 

just because something's legal does not necessarily mean that everybody has to do it...

 

Just because not everybody does it doesn't mean it's not more common than you might realise.

As for the Egyptians - what makes you think they died out? Last I was aware, Egypt was still in existence. As to why they're no longer as powerful as the Ancient Egyptian Dynasties - well, that was more likely to have been from massive economic recessions, brought about by the extortionate actions of the ruling classes, plus (as is much the same today) virilant plague conditions due to widespread pollution by using the Nile as its primary sewer as well as its only supply of drinking water. Now, which do you think is more likely to kill off a nation - occasional minor acts of incest, or drinking nothing but sewage water?

You know that the Egyptians are not the main part of this argument so don't get clever.. and I don't care how many people do it, I'm also not in any position to pass moral judgement on it.. for me it would never be right.. from a personal standpoint, that's all I know.

However the "ancient" Egyptians (not the modern day Arabs or Nubians who principally populate the country) did indeed enter into sexual relations with their siblings.. the royals mostly...this certainly can cause birth defects in infants, stunted growth etc through replicating their DNA, eventually you lose diversity in the gene pool if it's a practice carried out in a society over time.. and also you keep all the bad genes in the pool, if you didn't breed with your brothers and sisters then natural selection would eventually eradicate those..

So although my rather flippant comment was perhaps not factual in its entirety.. maybe I should add that the Roman & Byzantine civilisations had a larger influence on history than in-breeding.. I don't think that the ruling class there would have helped preserve their dominance by "keeping it in the family".. and this we know they tried..

 

To clear this up - In France, incest is not illegal between consenting adults, but you cannot marry.

 

about egypt die'ing out: i think he means the alexandrian dynasties of cleopatra and the like. they all had incestual marriages. but that isnt what killed them off,, the romans killed them off. maybe their kids had webbed feet though lol.

and, by the way the dude creating this thread was typing/grammer ect. it sounds like he was a product of incest himself.

incest is always a kinky subject, and brother/sister is second only to daddy/daughter. my sis is about ten years older than me. we never did anything naughty, but it was obvious when i began to get interested in breasts. i was always "accidentally" walking in on her in the bathroom and gawking up her slutty little skirts.
