that's pretty cool. so are you just living on a docked boat, or do you go on trips on it, or are you on one big trip to somewhere?
good luck then. living on a docked boat would be cool, but living on a boat as you take it from port to port would be a dream.
that's the idea! she needs a lot of work first, but we've taken her out sailing a bit, i have my keelboat sailing certification 101
I'm visiting east wind community soon and was wondering in if anyone had been there and has any info or stories to share! Tara
it's a lot of hard work, easier and harder than i could have imagined. life changing, a huge challenge.
it's not quite that simple, but thanks. it'll be some time before i'm even kinda free and off the grid. but you know what? money is bullshit. it's worth it.
Depends. $400-$1500 a month and up, and there's often additional liveaboard fees. Still often cheaper than rent, overall cheaper cost of living, plus you own your own home! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Hello poster. I am with you. I do not want to commit to society's "jobs" either. I want to live. Any work done I want it to be towards my benefit and not an employer's. I've decided to homestead. I feel that's the best way to just live while giving back to the earth and my spirit instead of someone's greedy pockets. BUT, I don't see that happening without my finishing school, at LEAST my bachelors. Idk about the whole GED thing unless you're a genius artist or something.... But you never know my mom always said, have something to fall back on.
^You aren't talking to him anymore. He had a hissy fit when we didn't tell him what he wanted to hear. I think he called us all sell outs or some shit like that. C/S, Rev J
Would an owner operator trucker count as one of those "non societal norm " jobs. I've heard of tons of em that live in their truck. They even have extended sleeper cabs that are like miniature RV's. Man its been a long time since I've been on this site or this thread. So since the OP had a hissy fit what is this thread about now lol?
