Well perhaps you should learn to read what is said before agreeing or disagreeing with it... Funny thing is that this is the perfect example of what I mean about the way people like you jump on and off band wagons based on whim and misinformation.

Tell me what it is that you think those you mentioned did for the american people as a whole.

neither the democrats or the republicans represent me. A two party system is ridiculous in a country thats known as the melting pot of the world.

Having more then two parties doesn't always fix the problem.. More then anything, proportional representation with multiple parties is whats needed to get an actual representative government.

they dont represent me either. thats why I voted democratic socialist in the last presidential election. And grassroots party the other week for governor of MN. Its closer to what i believe in, so i voted for them. I knew they wernt going to win, but at least i know i stood up for myself.

an old cliche advise thing they used to tell us in preschool. its not whether you win or lose, its how you play the game

Come the fuck down Tom, even tricky Dicky did more for the people in his first term in office.
Nixon actively pursued five areas of domestic reform: welfare, civil rights (including not only desegregation and voting rights, but also additional rights for women , economic and environmental policy, and reorganization of the federal bureaucracy.)

Obama said he would close Gitmo...
He is commander and fucking chief for chrissake how hard could it have been for him to just give the fucking order???!!!

Obama is what many marketers would call an "Edsel"

The Edsel was a very hyped car released by Ford in 1958. They hyped it so much people thought it would be a revolutionary innovative new car with lots of new features. Ford advertised and created a lot of suspense before Edsel's release to the public by calling it "Project E." The designers designed the front of the car to make it look identifiable from 5 blocks away.

In the end it didn't live up to expectations. Very very few were actually sold. It was no more reliable than any other Ford or Mercury product, in fact it was less. The car itself was ugly with its horse collar grill that made it look like it was sucking a lemon, some thought it looked like a woman's bush. There was no new features installed at all. Even worse, nobody wanted a car named after Henry Ford's trust-fund baby. It lasted 2 years and they finally pulled the plug on the Edsel assembly line.

Moral of the story: when you market yourself very high and set amazingly high expectations that you know you can't (or refuse to) meet, you'll create a nasty consumer backlash.

Obama is an Edsel. He set unbelievably high expectations for his campaign and presidency. I wasn't sure his presidential honeymoon would ever end. He had people believing he'd reverse every negative policy carried out by Bushco; instead he continued Bush's policies and made things worse. Now he's in trouble with consumer backlash.

Perhaps he might hire the government to carry out an Oklahoma City style terrorist attack and try to reconnect with the people that way.

I wouldn't put it past him to do something like that.

Nixon helped certain demographics and HIS power base... The health care helped 95% of americans regardless of EVERY other factor...

    The math is pretty simple...

You can make all the claims you want, simple fact is that there is only one president that made changes that directly helped 95% of americans... Some helped black people, some helped women, some helped workers, some helped the homeless...

    One helped all of them...

The best part of sitting back and watching your country eat itself the way it has been is that you all keep jumping to the tunes of whomever screams the loudest on tv...

I would like to see ONE person explain how it is that Obama is responsible for your economy going to shit considering it started happening before he took office and AFTER bush had stuck you all with trillion dollar wars... Wars that you would have attacked and called Obama a coward over, if he had done as he originally said and ended them.

The 'mortgage bubble' bursting, wasn't the fault of the guy who was in charge when it happened... That is like saying the floor is responsible for breaking the milk jug after you drop it...

You all sat back and watched while bush destroyed your country, and then voted him in for a second term... and now that all his policies and decisions have shown their true colors, you blame the guy who took over from him...

You all deserve whatever you get, and from the way you all act, I hope its Palin...

Please stop defending Obama by comparing him to what bush did. Anyone in their right mind knows Obama had a huge load of crap dumped in his lap and can't just snap his fingers and fix the economy.
As for the war in Iraq, we were all duped, most Americans should have realized that by now. (even though at the time the administration made sure to give the distinct impression that a nuclear attack from Iraq was imminent.)

In short, you can't place all the blame on a terrified, Psy-op manipulated pubic for Bushes atrocity's.

I wouldn't be acting so smug if I were you...
It's not as if your country isn't a part of this sinking ship.
You'll be goin' down with the rest of us.

Those bolded parts would explain the amount of people who have changed their minds about Obama and voted republican or tea party...

I can most definitely blame the public for following the herd each election and flopping to the opposite side... It has been made quite clear especially in this last batch of elections that a majority of people are willing to listen to bullshit in the media rather then look at facts.

Acting smug? How so? Because I call it as I see it? Because I look at the facts of a situation and draw my own conclusions rather then jump on the first sound bite that fox or cnn puts out?

As for our country going down with you, yes, I guess that would be something a certain type of mind would like to brag about... You're taking everyone down with you...

    Good job!

How about instead of just offering up a whole other argument about how you poor people were duped and misled by crooked leaders, you address the points I made in my posts?

How about you address the issue that even though every modern president has avoided taking hardline stands in their first term in order to secure their second, that Obama didn't.

How about you address the fact that he accomplished something that presidents have been using as a promise to tease and bait you for years during elections, and then letting families be destroyed because of health costs?

How about you address the fact that in spite of the fact that he hasn't even been in there for one term and everyone seems to think he should have made miracles happen?

How about you address the fact that his oppenent have made their public stand quite clear... they didn't run for their office to govern and help the american people... they ran for office for one purpose this term... to get Obama out...

Their NUMBER ONE priority is to defeat the president that was elected BY THE PEOPLE...

But hell... why do any of that... better to bitch and moan about how you were taken advantage of by bush, and that Obama didnt wave a magic wand and make the previous ten years just disappear...

    ^^^

....and Tom, I'm not bragging, just stating a fact.

As I have stated before, Humans seem to be genetically programmed to not think rationally when terrified, hence our current election climate.
