Keep going natural! You're doing so well! And there is no reason a doc or an IV needs to be involved yet. Baby girl stills needs some womb time to herself!
I tried to post here earlier this morning, but my computer was being a whore. Just wanted to say I'm hoping for you, hope it doesn't take too long, unless you're comfortable with that, hope you get some relaxing in, and can't wait to hear the good news! Maybe you can get someone to give you a massage... that'd be nice.
Good luck, good vibes, and warm hands for the backrubs I hope someone's giving you! Update when you feel up to it....we're all curious.
Good luck Moon Flower, I hope it goes well for you. My BIL's girlfriend is in hospital having her baby atm aswell, so I'll always remember your baby's birthday now!
Just got back from the doctor. Still dilating slowly, I'm now at a more loose 3 cm and almost all the way effaced. My doctor wants me to keep active today and come back tomorrow morning to see if I'm progressing anymore, hopefully I'll be back there tonight with some broken water. Congrats to your BIL's girlfriend!
Thanks! They don't offer water births where I'm going. But, they are going to let me move and change postions as I wish....so I won't have to constantly lie on my back.
*talks to your belly* Come on baby, come on out! Lots of people are waiting for you! Don't be scared!
....They don't offer that at the place I'm going. Moving around includes taking a shower when I want, that's good enough for me. I'm looking forward to the pain (yes....I say that now) because I know that the end result will be the sweetest thing I'll ever get in my life.
The hospital I gave birth in didn't have bathtubs either, I'm not sure how common that is. But there was a shower there and I was free to move around too. My favorite laboring position was swaying with my husband and leaning all my weight into him...that seemed to help the pain alot. Moon, I know what you mean about being excited for the pain...that's how I felt because I knew that it meant my baby was coming. And now a month and 2 days later, I don't even remember the pain! Well, not exactly, but looking at my little boy, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! Anyway, good luck and keep us posted! Hopefully you are having the baby right now!
cummmmmmmoooooooooonnnnnnnnnn baby!!!! *more labour vibes*! I know what you mean about being anxious for the pain. I couldn't wait for my painful contractions to come....when they did, they were less painful because I knew these ones were really doing some hard ass work! lol I can't wait to see that little girl! It's so cool to talk with someone like this all through the pregnancy from the very beginning and then witness the labour and all the wonderful moments after! Ahhh, I'm getting all setimental now
oh yeah, and the hospital I had leane at didn't have tubs either. They used to, but they were getting so hard to keep up with that they just went the shower route instead. Honestly, I much preffered that! i tried getting in the tub at home, and I sincerily hated it with a passion! But that shower at the hospital I spent 3 horus in. It helped sooooooooo much. There was a removable shower head and I was able to put it on my belly during the beginning of the contraction and then on my back at the end. Then inbetween, I would just spray myself down to keep myself warm. Oy, now I'm all teary eyed.....this was almost a year ago...it will be on the 28th. Ok, now I'm choking up. I wanna have another one........grrr........6 more years......
Hope everything is still going great! No real advice, as my labour was a mess, but just hang in there!
