    I had something very similar although in one ear not both after getting better from something flu-like.

    I didn't get my hearing back for days and days and I got some anti-swelling pills and antibiotics that eventually cured me. See the doc. ;)

    i had this problem sometime ago. every morning my left ear was like tapped with something and i could not hear with it at all. so i went to a doctor and he pulled out some long metal instrument , like a thin scissors and got out of my ears good quantities of grume. after that i had no problems with this ear at all.

    I assume they will settle. Have you a large venue (concert a place with a lot of fucking noise), wear headphones often, or are you just sick? If it doesn't hurt too much dab a que-tip in some hydrogen peroxide to clean them out if you haven't already. If it doesn't clear up a week or 2 from when you started getting dull hearing, should definitely see a doctor if you haven't already.

    have you tried the old fashioned chewing a huge amount of bubble gum?
