I can't believe the cost of going out to the movies...

    The local yuppy theater here is a fortune. For a small soda its about 5 bucks, if you want a big one expect to pay 8. Popcorn is around 10 bucks. Tickets are 7.

    At the theater I usually go to the one lady gives me free food, I got in good with her. So its not that bad and I get a student rate for tickets, 5 bucks.

    At the local mall theater, the matinee is $2 before six and $4 after 6. It's good, considering that they are shown when they come out. The old college was $3 but is now $3.50 because you pay for a candybar automatically. They show older movies, it's pretty cool. Refreshments aren't cheap, so I don't buy them.

    I love theatres that play the older movies... prices are much more affordable...
