I stole this, but yeah sums it up... I feel I should share, since not only is this horrible for the human lives involved, but also how my Goddess is screaming and crying and BEGGING for us to see her pain!! I was taught in school that hurricanes where only once ever few years. Now we just had two in a three week span, and more to come. How are so many people turning a blind eye to the desasters?! Just incase you didnt know: https://www.************/images/emoji.php/v9/f22/1/16/1f61e.pnghttps://www.************/images/emoji.php/v9/f22/1/16/1f61e.png California is on fire. Oregon is on fire. Washington is on fire. British Columbia is on fire. Alberta is on fire Montana is on fire. Nova Scotia is on fire. Greece is on fire. Brazil is on fire. Portugal is on fire. Algeria is on fire. Tunisia is on fire. Greenland is on fire. The Sakha Republic of Russia is on fire. Siberia is on fire. Texas is under water India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, experience record monsoons and massive death toll. Sierra Leone and Niger experience massive floods, mudslides, and deaths in the thousands. Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia are crushed in the death grip of a triple digit heat wave, dubbed Lucifer. Southern California continues to swelter under triple digit heat that shows no sign of letting up. In usually chilly August, the city of San Francisco shatters all-time record at 106 degrees, while it reaches 115 degrees south of the city. Northern California continues to bake in the triple digits. Yellowstone volcano is hit with earthquake swarm of over 2,300 tremors since June, recording a 4.4 quake on June 15, 20017 and 3.3 shaker on August 21, 2017. 5.3 earthquake rumbles through Idaho Japan earthquake 6.1 possible tsunami.. Mexico earthquake 8.2 imminent tsunami. Beach lines are receded atleast 50+ meters Hurricanes Harvey, Irma (biggest ever recorded), Jose and Katia are barreling around the Atlantic with 8 more potentials forming And last but not least an X10 C.M.E solar flare last night . The highest recorded solar flare ever! And here most the world is twiddling their thumbs. Anyone else feeling Mothers pain, or am I the only one afraid for her life, and ours?
So, we registered at a local high school that's serving as a shelter, and will end up going up there tomorrow afternoon, to stay overnight. But, we might stay with friends, and leave tomorrow morning, and they live like two hours away. So, either way, we won't be staying at home, since my area is supposed to get a cat 3 or potentially a cat 4, tomorrow. I actually think the worst of the storm is to happen like in the middle of the night, going into Monday morning. This is so crazy! if we go to friends, I'll call the shelter so they can give away our spot. I checked out the pet room and it's heart breaking, seeing all those poor dogs and cats in crates, and all the dogs barking. They're probably so stressed, and they don't understand why they're in there. I honestly wish we had flown up north and spent the weekend in New York or something, but we didn't think our area would be getting hit like this. Still trying to be calm and positive! So many people are panicking, and it's just not going to help the situation, you know? How's everyone here doing right now?
Those poor animals. I feel for them more than I do humans, because at least humans can take care of themselves whereas animals depend on us. I am sitting here at home, watching more of Miranda (on the last season right now).
So true, the animals don't understand what's going on at all. At least we can process it differently. I'm glad you like Miranda
On the subject of Miranda and British Europe, are there any natural disasters there? I cannot think of one.
That Yellowstone volcano is the one we really have to worry about, its a supervolcano, and the one most likely to go before the others in the world If that goes off we are all screwed
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_tornadoes_and_tornado_outbreaks Interesting. It seems tornado activity is becoming less prevalent in the U.K.
Be careful with that. The right side of the storm is the worst side, so if you're coastal now and travelling inwards, you'll actually be in the worst parts of it. It could still be better than the storm surge but I'm not sure if it's better than a shelter.
I'm actually inland, north of Tampa, so if we travel further east and north, that should be better. Unless the track changes again. So weird, because this was shifting east a few days ago.
Douchenozzle reporter from Pittsburgh's WPXI Rick Earle is in Atlanta now. Its nice how they spend money traveling while others are trying to save their lives. Real Piece Of Shit!!
They really can't be sure. I read an article on BBC about the super computers that are tracking it and because of it's size it is proving more difficult to really calculate. Anyway, just be careful. We're in Orlando and we're just going to ride it out. At this point I think my cute little elderly neighbor is going to do me in before the storm does.
Indeed, that was what I was thinking. The course I saw it taking recently, it seemed improbable that it would rise "up" at such an angle to hit Florida. No offense to those weather people who study this kind of thing.
At least according to the NOAA track, the expected path has moved a little west, but will still hit the west coast of Florida. Actually not good news for anyone in the Tampa area.
