I hate to say only two, but there's been only two (confirmed) deaths so far. Death toll of Katrina was over 1,000. So perhaps we learned some important lessons somewhere. Anyway, flooding has been monumental and some 30,000 people have already been displaced. But at least it sounds like most people are going to live to tell their story. God bless the beautiful people of Texas. Hang in there, folks!
UK has news clips 5 people dead. Coming from USA. http://www.express.co.uk/news/weather/846682/Hurricane-Harvey-Texas-path-live-update-tropical-storm-latest-flooding-forecast-NHC-NOAA
Damn. I figured for sure two wasn't the final figure, but God willing it won't be anywhere near the Katrina death toll.
Real people are losing their homes and most of their worldly possessions. Sure, let's make fun of it! NO! NO! NO! Please don't ask me to lighten up, thanks!
and you're doing what about it?.. are you involved in food, blankets and clean water drives.. no, you're arguing with a squirrel on a website.
Too far away, however, a Red Cross donation is on it's way. Winter is on it's way soon, you better start collecting and hiding your nuts!
Research some texas based organizations first before you make your donation. The red cross has a pretty horrible track record
Sounds strange.. could what he is saying be true? I remember reading about similar things happening in the uk, and the sudden rise in leukemia decades later.
my little understanding of weather. when the sky cleared as the video shown clear skies. the sun hits the surface and drives evaporation, creating clouds. but the dot and wave form. that's eerie..
do you think the funnel would still be visible on radar as a perfect dot. would be nice to know what location that is over ground and witnesses to any funnel forms.
It's nice to see how a tragedy like this is bringing together the community as a whole. Monster truck driver rescue mission https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dkPx9KanzY8
