The thing about your comment is that I understand you are putting us down...I don't understand what you mean by us living in the "united states of litigation". If a person is an adult and chooses to remain with the animals, you might be very hard pressed to successfully sue the county, especially if it is a well known fact that this adult is an animal lover. Adults in the USA are supposed to be able to make their own decisions, although that could be argued. Again, I understand the people before animals...but what if it isn't a situation where it is one OR the other...what if BOTH could be saved but the grown-ups/adults would have to go to just a bit of trouble. You act like it has to be one OR the other and I don't agree with that assumption. Today - not long ago - as I was watching tv coverage of Texas and this disaster there were any number of people carrying their animals. Apparently there are many people that feel that their animals are indeed very very important.
70 plus million award to some lady that claims baby powder gave her ovarian cancer... suing a restaurant for millions because some one spilled their coffee in their lap while driving a car what he means is that your countrys justice system is a joke to every other country in the world and COOL DOWN PEOPLE...argue all you want but dont throw personal insults please
ok - I understand now. I also agree this country's justice system is a joke. I just didn't have enough sense to get the referral to litigation. I also think the voting system is a damn shitting joke...the electoral college. Jesus help me. When you (and I mean us here in the USA) have a so-called leader that doesn't speak in coherent sentences and pardons blatant criminals within this same justice system, I actually don't know why I expected there to be any semblance of logic or sense OR humanity in the face of a natural disaster. FEMA should be called here - but is there even a director now since #45 fired the last one?
So you're one of those sue-happy fellas huh? If someone chose in their own will to do something to save a person, animal or otherwise and perished in the event of their bravery then it's just a terrible, sad situation/outcome... I would never try to cash in on a family member's death... kind of sick and sad
I figured #45 would pardon Assange and give him that position. He sent out a tweet to the Texans (and the rest of us too I guess) saying something...stupid.
not putting any one down at all with my original comment...ok maybe all americans but not you or that spoiled brat....county/state/city/township has a right to vacate their own property.....and a private animal rescue place should have been out before the police had to waste time getting them out....i am only explaining THEIR thinking .... any person who risks their own life for any animal is a moron in my opinion,i have an awesome dog but we get hit ny a disaster and he is on his own...i can get another dog....i cant get another life besides...what the fuck good is a bunch of dead animal workers....aren't they doing more good to be safe to come back and pick up the pieces? sheesh ...no it is sick and sad that you are too wimpy to stand up for your own kid...my kids all know i would never let their death go unanswered....even if i had to blow someone away myself....whatever.....someone kills my kid they pay..... it isn't brave to risk death in order to stay behind and feed cats...its stupid...wtf were they going to do....all huddle together and weather a hurricane.....that's LAME
I think we need a lesson in what the term "killing" means... this in no way applies to that... someone purposely killing another human being is a whole other issue, don't divert to try to make your point... that's what's lame... ...the actual issue (if you followed the story, which you obviously didn't) was someone acting in their own free will as an adult when there was no actual ban in place stating that people HAD to evacuate... if an adult citizen in this country decides to make that move, whether you personally agree with the cause or not (which in this case you don't), it is not murder in behalf of the state, county or cop... it is not negligence... no one is being killed here as you stated... it's a conscious decision made by a free citizen of this country... what you personally may see as stupid (and by all means you have he right to your opinions) others may see as heroic or noble... so ahead with your 6th grade "you're stupid", "that's stupid" "nobody is going to kill my kid" nonsense but sounds to me that you'd be the guy to throw the sue card out because your coffee was hot and it burned your lip... that's not brace, noble, family-oriented or otherwise... back to the original point, someone making a CHOICE to stay is not blood on the county's hands so no, while their death should not go unanswered it would be a travesty to that individuals caused to cash in on an act that they saw to be noble (whether you agree or not) just so you can feel like you're "not a wimp" and then enjoy a lump sum of 500,000... that's not bravery, that's selfish

I lived in Texas for many years. Grew up there. I've sheltered through hurricanes. It's tough. It's scary, but there were usually good reasons to do so. It's ingrained in some people to guard the homefront. The first time, I was too young to make the decision. Second, made the decision to leave too late, and returned to ride it out. Third, I was on a houseboat. No options. In none of these scenarios did law enforcement try to roust me from my home. Announcements came on the radio. No follow up. I'm betting Katrina and Rita changed that.
The SPCA is seeking litter, food, blankets and other pet supplies for shelters north of the impacted area. About 300 more cats and dogs are expected to arrive in Dallas today. https://www.spca.org/news_hurricane-harvey Blood and disaster relief supplies are needed. If you are in the states, donate blood. It will get where it's needed. For other needs, consider donating to the Red Cross. They are the most mobile and usually the quickest responders, and speed is of the essence. https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey?campname=Harvey&campmedium=aspot
Hurricane Harvey was caused by Liberal Tears.. Only so much the atmosphere can handle after 10months of crying ..
Unfortunately, this storm is not a laughing matter! Praying for Texas. Praying for the people of Texas. Praying for the animals of Texas! Praying for a speedy recovery.
