let your kids discover marijuana on their own... dont show it to them when they are 4.
People are stupid, such is life.

as i said (or forgot to?) i dont think it stops development or something, just changes teh direction of thinkning a person learns with. a teenager has a lot of established thought patturn already. until your mid 20's then its gonna ffect this. but nothing says its detrimental, essentially.

it can be though. for this kid it will be.

and as heady said, theres no evidence to say it permanently changes your brain, its all short to medium term. all effects of cannabis have been shown to go away with abstinence.

however, if a child never learns or experiences through their litle sober mind for long enough.. they can never get the time back. so theyll only recover to the mental soberness they had befor they started smokin. most teenagers, this is fine, but a 4 yo definately not. they will never recover to a normal sober mind, their emotional understanding will be increidbly diminished. hell, you cant even remember most stuff back as a 4 yo, because it was a completely different mind, and its where the brain was developing its concepts, not specific memories. and if hes gettin stoned.. well he aint gonna learn jack shit.

so while it wont necessarily permanently reverse your development or something.. smoking weed at a young age will definately affect that person's development as a person in the conventional sense of mind.

i think the kid will definitely suffer from an extremely addictive personality.. he'll grow up to either become a crackhead, or changed forever, become some sort of born again straight edge kid...
    lets hope neither...
