I don't find an attraction to post-pubescents as being abnormal, so long as the younger person involved is not being taken advantage of.

The age of consent varies from state to state. Alambama is the lowest at 14, over half of them are now 16 or 17, the rest 18. Canada is 14. i would say 12 is way too young regardless of any reason your brain will ever come up with. i think relationships with large age discrepencies can work, as long as both people are in them for the same reason and on the same page. if you go tricking some 13 yearold girl into thinking you are gonna marry them, when you are just out for some pussy, that is tottally wrong. but if you both just want to get off then i think its ok. if you both want to get married it is ok. it would be youre responsibility as the more experienced person to make sure that you are both on the same page before anything happens. keep in mind that most laws are made so that only rich people with lawyers or influence can break them.

oh and the general rule is half the older persons age plus seven years gives you an idea about how young you should go.

Do not try to justify the fact that sleeping with girls who in the past married and bore children when they were 14 should be viewed as acceptable in today's society. Where as back then, women virtually had no rights, they simply did as they were told. They married young, bore children and obeyed their husbands, only until women began to really believe that had a voice. A fourteen year child is at the childbearing age, but that doesn't mean she can handle the aspects of her sexuality or anyone else's now does it?

Attraction is one thing, based on physiology; acting on that attraction is another. Nevertheless, I don't think women married earlier due to social oppression. You have to keep in mind that most people only lived to age 35 before modern medicine, sanitation, etc. 12, 13, 14, would have been the necessary age to have children in that context. There is a reason that girls hit menarchy at that age and a hardwired reason most males find girls a little older than that most attractive.

Still, we have to take into account that times have changed. The period of adolescence was artificially created at the turn of the 20th century. Children were forced into school to keep them out of factories. Educational prerequisites for JOBS have increased steadily since then and so has the period of adolescence (most sociologists/psycologists now place its end at 24).

What should detirmine whether or not one is sexually "ready" is his/her ability to provide adequately for a child as the result of thier activity. 12, 13, 14 is probably too young developmentally, in the year 2005, to be having sex--especially with a 30-40+ year old. It may not have been 1000 years ago, but today it is.

i think every girl on this planet has had an experience where a much older man has given her sleazy looks. it's pretty disgusting really, it feels so violating sometimes. yuk ive had 30's year olds try to pick me up before (no offense to the 30yr olds on here) and i just kinda think its sad... like you can't get a woman your own age so you think you can score with a girl my age coz im young and will be "seduced" by the whole older man thing, i dont think so! its sad....

Besides, i only know one or two women under 22 that i would date. Few, very few, modern "teenage" girls would do anything for me.

I like feminine strength in a woman, something that teenage girls rarely develop, with the exception of one friend I have made recently.

Even sexually, I prefer a woman who has had a child.

the only problem i see with a onlder person having sex with a younger one is the potential for the abuse of power. two people of highly disparate ages won't necessarily have the same idea about the relationship or their expectations of it. being attracted to younger people is one thing. i find myself attracted to teenaged boys (though, oddly, only women over 25). but i would NEVER act upon it. you can't help what your head finds attractive. all you can do is make sure you don't mess with someone else's head.
