Human evolution is too slow to allow for any societal system that trusts people to "do the right thing" by one another. It has been ever thus. Nice dream, but this thread proves cooperation between even a minimum of people can't come up with some kind of agreement, even as to meaning ,let alone how to get to a humane governmental or non-govermental place for ourselves. But to address the original post, yeah that sounds excellant. Unfortunately, people need to be watched closely or we get what we have now, which is a huge worldwide clusterfuck. Super intelligent people have always existed in varying societies, anchient and modern and have written and put forth brilliant ideas relating to improving the human condition. Where has it all left us? Just about right where we began, except for scientific progress ,which even some supposedly intelligent people dismiss for their own purposes. But it's nice to hypothesize,I suppose, but personally,I see the condition of earth and its inhabitants going from bad to worse to worst of all. Mistakes are being made-others will be blamed. Always.

Not only that, but evolution, without society, involves NOT doing the nice thing to those who you can avoid doing it to. Society, and our capacity to live in one, is a part of evolution. Eventually maybe, if humans survive long enough, we might evolve to the point of being peaceful anarchists, but right now it is simply not how human beings work, on the whole.

I'm a nice guy, you may all be nice guys, but a lot of people are not, and even nice people do nasty things. Seriously pursuing anarchy as more than a social convention between close friends is simply wishful thinking, it's self-delusion as to the nature of humans, and animals in general.

Yes, as I stated in an earlier post, the closest to the type of society that the OP is postulating is the egalitarian cultures of many primitive peoples.
But you rarely see a true egalitarian society any more.

All in all, many of the concepts the OP is putting forth have already been attempted and have ultimately resulted in the society we have today.

OP just doesn't see that he is attempting to re-invent the wheel.

I've come to realize the OP and my wife have one thing in common.
They both make the assumption that if a person doesn't agree with them then that person was either not listening or does not understand what was said/meant.

Still Kicking, we all get it and understand what your saying, we just don't agree with it.

Did you ever think that if almost every single response to your thread has NOT been in support of your ideas, that maybe you should re-consider them?

I think anarchy is very difficult on a large scale, you would have to cut people down into tribes of some sort.. I mean not by forcing them (that would defeat the purpose of course). People would group together with others who share similar values and help each other survive and live peacefully together. Other "tribes" or groups would do the same, ideally all groups would be tolerant of each other and help others when they were needed but they wouldn't necessarily be forced to be in contact with each other. However this is near impossible with all the intolerance in today's society.
