*looking around, paranoid of what I'm about to write next* ok, this is the ONLY time I'll write this.... WOO HOO I'VE BEEN UNBANNED! Thanks so much for letting me back in... sheesh, after all that... well. Now I'm not sure what to think...

anyway, not to throw this thread off topic or anything... but... ack, I guess my real problem originally when posting this thread is that I wish there was some way to better promote traffic through the personal forums instead of focusing so much energy to the subforums... can we do that? or is it just me? I love the personal forums, and I wish they did get a bit more attention.

Ok I have a problem with this thread....because of one thing......there was a sticky pertaining to the issue of setting up sub-forums....since the first of the year...and after going back and looking at the posts made in that thread....there was more of a support for them than not....if people were opposed to the idea of sub-forums....why didn't they speak up then...I have my own personal crafts forum as well....and I still get traffic through it......the personal forums don't get as much traffic as the main board.....out of laziness basically....people's patiences has gone out the window...and to condemn an attempt to bring some organization to a heavy traffic forum....just proves my point.
If you all had problems with the concept....why didn't you speak your mind when this issue was being considered....instead of waiting after the fact ...to start bitching about it.....that is my opinion...and I was all for and supported the idea of sub-forums...and if having to go to a separate forum to find something you are interested in......is keeping you away from this forum....that just further proves my point about laziness...I mean gee...maybe two more clicks of a finger...damn that is alot of fucking work..................my opinion, and my opinion alone

I dont' think that it's laziness at all....
I didn't even hear about the forums being divded up until about a week before it happened.....
But I personally think that before, it felt like I place where everyone, regardless of their talents, could show off they're stuff or ask questions in the 'main area...' there was more of a welcoming, united thing about it....
now it's like, "go off into your own area....."
i don't know why there was so much support for it....I didn't like the idea at all.....I was sad when i came on here a couple weeks later and saw it had happened.

I can't speak for others but I did... I addressed my concerns on how I would rather see promotion of the personal forums than to have all these sub categories. Why this thread is getting so long and people bitching after the fact may be either a) didn't read the sticky, because those too are annoying and just lazy to read, ~or~ b) didn't realize how annoying it'd be until after it got all set up.

    I dunno. Just a thought.

Exactly, theres certainly nothing wrong with "discussing" an issue after the fact. Often it takes time to see how things will actually work in practice, not just on paper. Like our beloved bush for example. I knew lots of people who voted for him his first term, but definetley did not on his second. hehehe

oy, i smell a bush debate........
i think that because of the number of different things that were going on in this forum, it seemed like a good idea......
not so much when it actually happened.....

They should just make a sub forum for bitching about the number of forums...

    *cough*

... lol... that is, if anyone can find it... as lazy as it may sound, it's getting hard to filter through all these...
