for me a week is pushing it. my head gets really oily and just touching my scalp gets it all over your fingers. so i wash 2 times a week usually. i have DreadHeadHQ shampoo and added a little bit of peppermint oil and tea tree oil to it. its nice. after it runs out im ganna try Dr. Bronners.

I usually wash mien little dreadies with soap every 4-5 days, or every week at a push.
Other days I sometimes just give them a rinse + scrub in the shower to get rid of a bit of gunk.

I use the Dr Bronners tea tree soap.. it smells quite nice, I think.

i spent a year washing once a week. now i'm doing twice a week, just because my head has been looking kinda grody lately. twice a week-ish has been going well for me lately.

i just got done washing my dreadies about 10 minutes ago^^

i was at least once a week on average, but during the winter months it's more sporadic and less consistent. i'm in south texas so during the summers it is REALLY hot and REALLY humid, so i have to wash at least once a week. during winter it gets SO much nicer, and i don't have to mess with it as much^^

where in texas are you? i'm in austin.

OP, your hair is probably really oily because you wash it every day. i'm sure some of it is genetics, but you have to wean your hair off of being washed excessively like that.

I wash mine once a week unless they get itchy, if theyre itchy i use the peppermint liquid its super nice and tingles, if theyre not itchy i use a bottle of the unscented that i mixed frankincense essential oil with, it makes them smell awesome and incencey

Every 2-3 days. I'd wash more often if I was a masochist and liked having wet dreads in the morning!
