i have no faith in politicians because i have no faith in the bennificence of the irresponsible economic interests that control them. but i do have faith that underneath their conflicting intrests and motivations there are fallable and imperfect humans, just like the rest of us. and occasionally one or two of them manage, dispite all odds, to make a small amount of possitive difference. not nearly as much as the harm they and the interests that all to often and effectively influence them, but it does happen. of course you can't usually tell who will do what when you vote for them, but issues are another matter. one that you CAN make sense out of if you're willing to do your homework about them. and THOSE are what i LIKE voting on and about. =^^= .../\...
I think that the few who are blatently dishonest ruins faith in politics for the ones who are honest and work hard.
while i have, for all practical purposes, little or no faith in politicians as such, nor in ANY idiology, i have even less in economists, and in economic intrests motivating anyone to do what is most bennificial, or even esential to the survival of the human species, let alone the rest of the web of life, on which our own remains entirely dependent. =^^= .../\...
Absolutely N-o-n-e! period. The USA isn't a Nation anymore. It's a friggin Corporation. As such can be for sale. It's in all the newspapers in one form or other.
In my opinion, they ALL lie, cheat, steal, and after you vote for them and they get in office ... they're like YOU'RE F@CKED!
This is kind of problematic, because these things are entirely different. Politicians - elected ones, anyway - are basically made unable to be honest by the nature of their job; they have to appeal to the largest number of people in order to maintain their position. I don't know whether it's just always been that way or if something changed, but I do know that, if we are more comfortable with being lied to than being disagreed with, we'll force well-intentioned politicians to lie just to keep the real assholes out. People get all grouchy when they find out someone lied to them, but sometimes you look at the lie, and it's like, no sane person could seriously believe it was going to be true. We don't have the luxury of being so naïve, and the worse part is, quite often those who believe "all politicians are lying, stealing, cheating assholes" are the easiest to manipulate.
yeah their all our freinds we went to college with that said we''ll do something once we get a office..liers.....and we the fool's........
