i read so much i don't really thnk about it except when i'm reading too much & need to do something else. audiobook downloads are perfect for this.
I read newspapers, magazines and uni books every day. Also, stuff on line. I love reading, it's the best way to gain great general knowledge.
I, along with many other people, don't read enough. I used to read a lot but got off track before the holidays. I read on my breaks & lunches. I need to stop watching so much TV at night and start reading more. I have a book goal for the year and i'm never going to make it at this rate. I NEED TO KILL MY TELEVISION!!!! :X
My grandmother taught me to read at the age of four. I have probably read, on the average, three books a week. I'm, now, 58 and not slowing down. The above doesn't mention magazines, newspapers or the backs of cereal boxes. I fall asleep reading, shit while I'm reading and watch television reading. I never regretted a moment I ever spent reading.
depends on the book, life and a few other aspects. last night was reading the Integral trees by larry niven and spent half the night reading, finished half the book already.
I try to get in a few pages whenever I can--waiting at the bus stop for my daughter, in the bathtub, cooking dinner. I usually read to my daughter at night, too. Sometimes she reads to me. I really enjoy that. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to just sit and read. But, I think I probably get in about an hour or so a day. If I have a day off and don't have too much to do at home, I can get lost in a book for hours. I just love to read.
I'm always reading something. Does it count if your reading somethin short like Readers Digest or the newspaper? I actually brang some of my old Readers Digest to the dentist office the other day cause they never have anything to read there and left them there........not to get off the subject or nothin I usually read a total of an hour or so a day. Wish I had the time for more.
Like Sweetersappe, I try to get a few pages in when I can. (That is when I'm not listening to music ... which is another passion of mine). I like to read a newspaper in the morning before heading off for work (if time permits) and again in the evening when I get in from work. Lunchtime I usually read for about half an hour (the other half is spent getting fresh air or doing shopping/errands to save time on weekends). Before bedtime is another pleasurable reading zone but it varies. Some nights it's smoking a joint and listening to music with my partner, but if he's not ready to settle down, I will read til I feel sleepy. I nearly always have a book on me, especially if I'm travelling, because I never know if I will be delayed, etc. Apart from books and newspapers, I also like to browse forums (you'd never have guessed!)
At least 300 pages a day, coz im in college. I mean on literature. That's how you enjoy college. once left it, maybe i'll stick to technical docs forever!
