Same way some people can do cocaine on the same basis and never get addicted.

    I smoke marlboro 100s.

    Especially if i'm drinking.

I'm thinking of checking out some different brands though as marlboros generally taste like chemicals...

    any suggestions? (other than quiting)

I've never had much contact with cigs, but can I ask why you smoke them? I mean, you don't get high of them or anything so whats the point? The smoke tastes good?

Some brands of tobacco do indeed taste nice. Well, for some people anyway, like some like coffee some don't, some like marmite (hehe), some don't.

I am quite keen on smoking cigs, it relaxes me, helps me concentrate, enjoy the sensation especially with a nice strong black coffee or a beer. You do get a little buzz off them as well. Some days I'll smoke 2-3, some days 20+ it depends on what I'm doing.

I would advise if you do smoke cigs to not smoke those nasty commercial tobacco brands pumped full of additives to stop it going out and those horrid fiberglass filter tips that take ten years to biodegrade. Smoke roll ups (healthier & cheaper also) or additive free cigs if you can find them. As a rule of thumb usually the cheaper the cigs the nastier shit they have mixed in with the low quality baccy.

There's that mild nicotine buzz which is always nice, and it's relaxing, plus it's something to do, I mean, how many people here who smoke can honestly say their smoking doesn't increase by like 6 fold when they're bored.

I like what Dale said on King of the Hill, "I never knew what to do with my hands, that's why I started smoking."

I tried a cigarette a couple of days ago but didn't like it at all and I don't want to get addicted so I'm not going to try again. There's no point, really.

Also, I noticed how artificial and mass-produced they feel compared to joints. That was off-putting, although I am aware that you can roll your own.

Well, that's changed for me. When I was at Job Corps, all there was to do was smoke.......so I smoked. While I was there I was smoking about 30+ Black & Milds EVERYDAY. When I graduated and came home, I smoked Blacks for a while, but my lungs were beginning to feel bruised at all times, so I started smoking Newports. My fiance and I are going to quit smoking in February.

No cigs or tobacco products for me... although I do enjoy a blunt every now and again.
