How Many Grocery Stores?

There's a supermarket, a huge grocery store, 3 mini marts, a liquer store, a health food store, and a natural food store within ten minutes (walking) of my camp.

So that's 8 in a little mountain town of less than 5000 ppl.

 

Five, I think. Two of which I could walk to in 10 minutes.

 

there are places that people live without a grocery store within ten minutes, In this day and age?! No WAY!

I can count 10 and 2 abandoned ones, all supermarkets, 6 of them are the same store...everytime it rains, there is a new grocery store somewhere around, they keep getting nicer, and then the older ones redo everything.

The area where I live fought to keep wal-mart out, but then they let 17 Meijers which are just the same be built...and a Target

I can´t really understand why there are so many grocery stores...most don´t seem that crowded really.

 

We are considered to be 'out in the sticks' and we have four grocery stores within the 10 minutes and six gas station / markets.

 

I´ve been living on the edge of town, what was once a small town seperate from the city..when I was growing up here it was city one way, farms the other....now its an old area surrounded by grocery stores in all directions

 

Within ten minutes ..mmm dozens i guess . At least 3 medium sized supermarkets and countless grocery stores.. hordes of pointless retail outlets all serving crap morning noon and night.

I would say there are about umm........ 2 hyvee stores, 4 dillons stores, one food4less and an aldys. so, 8 total.

 

now I cant even begin to count how many banks and bar/grills there are here.

11, not including the specialty ones, like fruit and veggies or bakeries that also carry some basic food staples.

 

one within 2 minutes walking (little local shop)...then 2 others within 10 minutes away

 

within 10 there are none, within 20 there are 3 or 4
