Define books read, does a complete works count as one book or each book seperate, do short stories count as 1 book each or only the as 1 altogether.

Also surely this will be age biased, i am always surprised at both how many and how few I have read.

    Fiction a couple of hundred.

    Factual into the thousands.

Books in own Library, thousands, books to read, millions, but then life is short don't you think.

OMG, if you omit the text books, then very few. I think not more than 6 or 7. lol.....I know this is bad but this is how it is. I am being way too honest, lol..........;)

Congratulations to those who have read The Silmarillion. Tough read, other then technical books, maybe only Buckminster Fuller's books were harder to get through, which I guess are pretty technical.

I'm down to one book per week, but I was able to read 2-3 during my youth. So a rough estimate would be 3,500? I totally suck at math.

    QP

P.S. Does reading the same book more than once count? :)

    Hello,

I spent a goddamn hour searching for this goddamn book I have somewhere in this goddamn moving boxes and I goddamn couldn't find it. I think I'll use the last couple of days of this year to scan all books and put them into the database I already use for new books and note the place of every single book also. I want to do this for years, but it's lots of boring work... That's how many books I have.

    Regards
    Gyro

That is really shameful. Lose the ''activity award'' and go read a book or two.
