I think I read that a million more home owners might lose their homes. The gov oughta freeze the repo market somehow.Don't know how it could be done tho.Economics is a labrinthine mystery to me.

And the damndest thing is that if you actually HAVE money to pay someone to do something, at least HERE, you might have a really hard time finding anyone to do the work. Which makes it that I am seeing where if a person simply went DOOR TO DOOR looking for odd jobs, they might find there was more work than what you could ever do...

It doesn't seem to be improving around here. Lots of folks I know are either laid off, or have had their hours cut. Even some who felt they were "safe" have had either hours or salary cut. Over 8000 job cuts are already announced to take place this year, not including all who took pay/hour cuts and the small business that just went under.

I am working, hubby is working. Not in my field, but working full time for basically minimum wage. And am told all the time how lucky I am to have a job at all. At least 10 people stop in every night to see if we are hiring. People with college educations and good work history.

I read the classified every day. Unless you are a nurse, or interested in working for the banks, their are very few jobs. It pisses me off to read ad after ad looking for mortgage brokers and security traders and loan processors oh, and debt collectors. I thought the banks were the problem, how come they are the only ones able to hire?

However, we are getting by just fine right now. And the recession has made some things cheaper. If you are looking to make any kind of large purchase now is probably the time to do it.

I'm un-fucking-employed thank you very much. Normally that wouldn't be such a bad thing cause I could go out a find a job. But those assholes in Congress went and fucked up my economy. No one wants to spend any money. No one is hiring. Anyone wanna give me a job? C'MON MAN!!! I'll suck yo dick!!!

(That was supposed to sound like the crackhead in "Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in Da hood".)

Ugh. Reminds me of the guy who came to visit last night. "I fucked a 67 year old woman in a wheel chair for her morphine..."

A year ago I lost my job that I worked at for 7yrs.
Not long after that I had to sell my house.
Because it was on property that I had to pay rent on.
Which became hard for to pay on when I lost my job.
I tried to keep up with the rent on a mini wage salary.
Which was hard to do with bills also to keep with, along with other exspenses.
He started charging me $5.00 everyday I was late.
Which I couldn't help because I had to wait for my check to come in.
He treaten to take me to court and put alean on my house if I could come up with the money. It was a nightmare.
It made me realize what kind of system we're living in.
A bunch of preditors with financual control over our lives.
I bought me a motor home. decided never to pay rent again.
I'm trying to change the way I live.
trying to become less dependent on the system for survival.
    Its been very hard.
Money doesn't allow you that Freedom.
And I don't want to become a bum.
I've always tried to be self sufficaint.
I've learn if you depend on others to provide for you.
You lose your Freedom and liberty's.
    Your at their mercy.
    You live by their rules.

Well the summer tourists came back to the beaches in South Jersey to help the local economy.

Housing is still going sideways, a big reason is higher property tax and insurance rates. Yet the contractors and their work-vans are still going out early each day.

When folks were priced out of owning a home in North Jersey, they came south for cheaper housing and the longer commute. Now that dynamic no longer functions because housing bargains abound in North Jersey.

I lost my Real Estate/ Mortgage job, collected for a lil, and got employed in a diferent field.

We pay rent on our pad and are trying to sell... I relate to what you are saying. We are working on becoming independent as well. Seems like you have made great strides.

We will not own property again until we can afford a chunk of land and the taxes for many years into the future.

lost my job of 7 years at the Walgreens Distribution Center in Flagstaff AZ.
Not long after that I started losing everything I spent years working for to have. A Home ,nice belongings, a awesome music collection.Ended up selling it all to pay bills and keep up with the rent. Until I was forced to sell my home and live in a motor home.
In losing some of all my matereal things.
I found, after losing everything I had. I gained a new sense of Freedom and peace in my spirit.
For I had nothing else to lose.
It was like all the burdens in life were lifted off of me.No more bill collectors or Land lords to hound me every month to worry about. I was able to afford to live on a minimum wage income from a temp service.
With just gas, propane ,food and water to worry about. I cooked on a open fire outside.
Used a solar panel for electrcity at night.
Even though I still have to depend on money.
I see it as more of a trap into debts.
I feel if I can ever get to where I no longer have to depend on it.
I will have descovered true Freedom in life.
Instead of this ball and chain of money, that restricts our freedoms, independence and liberty's. And has the power to take it all away through debts and laws.

Money is not the answer to the worlds problems.
For it is whats causing most of the worlds problems.
    People are the answer.
Organizing ,willing to work together to produce, provide and distribute freely the resources and service we all depend on for our survival.
People ,Resources and technology is all it take for a society to function.
To have our Freedoms ,Liberty's and Independence not comprimised by money or the greed of another individual's lust for power and control.
This world provides freely all the resources we need to survive on this planet.
It is mans own selfishness and greed, that has put this unnessasary financual hardship and burden on ourselves.
I laugh at the reply, when some people say; its our animal instinct, that only the strong servive. Its a Dog eat Dog.
I've yet to see any animal have to pay for the right to live on this planet.
To me what they are saying is mankind is as dumb as a animal.
Incapabal of advancing or becoming something better than what we are.
    Which is total Bullshit!
Albert Einstein said;" Our technology has surpassed our Humanity." That was after the first Nucular test was done.
To be it our destinction to laugh at our exstinction. But you really ought to think hard when your walking in your graveyard.
Fifteen Million years a go they walked upon the planet so, now they live in a musieum its the only place you'll see em. Now were walking in their footsteps. _Sting and the Police
