How is the rave scene in your neck of the woods?

No raves here, sadly. It'd be nice to get something organized, though.

 

ive been djing in the psytrance scene here for 7 years and never heard about that. all the psy parties i have been to are in north or central texas - no where near the border. hell youd have a hard time getting attendance out west.

that must have been a desert rave near el-paso.

did you hear the name of the crew that threw the party?

The rave scene in Melbourne, Australia is kinda crap its mainly associated with Hardstyle music and violence it feels very dirty and dingy too many people there for the drugs and nothing more. On the other hand if you look hard enough you can find some good DnB clubs and some nice underground breakcore type warehouse parties probably a few a month.

 

Dallas, TX rave scene is pretty good, though I haven't been involved since earlier this year. Lots of people just there to get fucked out of there mind tho, cuz theres always acid/E/special k being sold

when i get off paper i'll have to see about getting back into that shit.

 

there are raves everyweek here in LA. monster massive is comin up and thats a pretty big one. armin van buuren will be there

 

I got to see him a few weeks ago. He was awsome.

The rave scene in my neck of the woods (litrally in the middle of the woods in wales) is ace! for 30-40 miles around there's parties all the time and lots of decent people/music/drugs/dj's

 

lol by dirty i mean the custiness and dankness that often comes with indoor city raves

 

yeah although they have the advantage of being low-key, warehouses are sketch sometimes. this one that is regularly used for raves here, is also used for freak shows, and industrial/goth shit. we found rotting pig heads in the dumpsters.iggy:

At one of the first parties i went to there i had a hard time parking because it was such a shady, dilapidated neighborhood. Crackheads everywhere. One of the crackheads actually paid money to get into the rave! The crew didn't discriminate so they were like OK he's cool. But then a couple hours later some chicks complained that he was feeling them up and the promoters came to bounce his ass. Well they ended up calling the cops on him and the police came quick as fuck. That fool bolted. the cops circled around the rave to make sure it was safe. then they left. it was very surreal having the cops on our side for once.

The last party at that same warehouse the cops came 3 times and it didn't get shut down. lol they just looked around and checked ID's for uderagers, and left. then they came back and told us to put out the barrel fires. one last time they returned and told us to shut down the patio stage outisde, it was too loud. the indoor part stayed open till 7 lol. no permits.

 

its pretty sweet out here. we have like 15 yearly festivals in the province and like a big indoor rave every other weekend in this citty and theres weekly nightclub type raves that are open till 6am

 

well i left the scene a few years back when it was the choice of my crazy party ways or my woman. she's better then any drug i've had so i took the obvious choice. alot of my friends are still in the scene and SE Texas is still popping.

 

As of very recently there have been a few small scale "raves" up here in Montana... but otherwise....DEAD.

 

had a few amazing raves arond here lately. pretty lights, lotus, deadmau5, ghostland observatory.. sickness..

 

i like pretty lights but not feeling the deadmau5 or ghostland.

actually to be honest deadmau5 is awful live. his tracks do not flow together wel. His production is quite popular but listening carefully, it is a really simple formula for production that he uses over and over. he is slipping far from his once high reign on the dance charts.

we just had a psychedelic warehouse party with Antennae from SF playing the best in acid crunk and dubstep.

next weekend it's Rusko! with bird p!

 

socal has some pretty sick ones. most are pretty gay though. they are hit or miss, and when i do go i'm usually just stocking up on goodies, and take a couple of rolls and goof off with friends.
