She means the does not want the pig killed in the first place. Not everyone who eats pig get cancer but some people are more prone to cancer if they do eat pig.
Bacon is pretty much a known quantity.I mean it's not like one of those unknown unknowns. It looks like bacon. It tastes like bacon.I'm off it for health reasons, but spaghetti carbonara wouldn't be the same with out it.
The pasta is worse for you than the bacon, especially if you have problems with insulin resistance. As long as the bacon is pastured and not full of nitrates, I don't see it as an unhealthy food (since the whole saturated fats myth was debunked a long time ago), considering you don't make the mistake of frying it in some rancid, carcinogenic, omega-6 laden vegetable oil.
I know smarty pants.I freakin' know pasta is bad for my diabetes. That's why I don't eat it anymore.Well I may just decide to have it very, very occasionally.Sorry to get het up,I just don't follow your diet.Different people have different dietary needs.
Yes.I wasn't trying to imply that you avidly follow me around with baited breath reading my posts or anything...
Hmm, the last time I had bacon was in 1973. I think it's bad for you. But of course no one will listen to me.
You are correct, Sunfighter..it is bad for a person, but I do not eat it too often and hardly ever make it. Once in a blue moon, I do like a BLT, though....
haha, yeah. i was thinking at first that everyone would be surprised that i don't like bacon. but what you said makes more sense. i've never seen bacon without nitrites, but if you say so, it probably exists. is vegetable oil inherently "rancid, carcinogenic and omega-6 laden?"
