As I stated, there is very little that a person, such as yourself can do because almost everything has already been done and so everything you do is following someone else, so if you really "don't respect followers" then you don't respect yourself and for that I feel sorry for you.

I truly hope that you actually choose a path for your life and not as you seem to be saying, just choosing which way your life should go by a kind of reverse psychology, where you only do things if you think no one else has done it, so you are never a follower.

The expression "amen" literally means "so be it" so saying it means that you agree with what is being prayed about and want it to happen, if you don't agree, you should not say "amen". Also there is no need to say "amen" after your own prayers seeing as you should already be in agreement with what you are talking with God about. Why do you ask?
