How was Christianity spread by Jews? Better yet, why would Jews spread another religion instead of their own? OWB said some shit about Jesus' disciples, something he got from the bible. And I know what the word "illiterate" means. Perhaps you should look it up. He obviously wasn't saying "you ARE" illiterate because if I were illiterate, I wouldn't be capable of having this conversation right now that requires me to read and write. In an intellectual conversation, that would be understood without any need for explanation. I apologize for overestimating your intelligence.
How was Christianity spread by Jews? Uhhhh - How about Jesus, Paul, Matthew, Peter, Stephen - All Jews. Easy there fellow.
For the 5th time... If the only "facts" you have are from the bible, anything you say will be disregarded.
Perhaps that Jesus guy was convincing? Why would the arabians become muslims? Or choose people to switch religions anyway? Probably because they have found something better.
LMFAO hold up I just realized y'all are saying Jesus spread Christianity Wooooooooooooooooow Um, the Jesus in the bible clearly stated he did not deserve nor want to be praised. This would kind of rule out there being an entire religion named after him. I'm sorry, what Jesus are y'all talking about?
Once again you are only guessing what I believe or don't believe and you really have no clue. Just blindly trying to lump me in with others without even bothering to understand. As I stated, there is very little that a person, such as yourself can do because almost everything has already been done and so everything you do is following someone else, so if you really "don't respect followers" then you don't respect yourself and for that I feel sorry for you. I truly hope that you actually choose a path for your life and not as you seem to be saying, just choosing which way your life should go by a kind of reverse psychology, where you only do things if you think no one else has done it, so you are never a follower.
Um Jesus wasn't a real person. The whole story was based on the Sun God. As a matter of fact, I'ma post it in a few. But being that Jesus wasn't real, I can only entertain a conversation about Jesus thru the bible. Where did I say anything about I purposely try not to do things that have already been done? I didn't. It's you with all the assumptions. I don't assume you're Christian, that is a fact. The only thing I assumed was you say "amen" at the end of prayers. Was that a wrong assumption? And it aint following to do something that has already been done. It's following to not do something until you see someone else do it. Wow @ the basic shit I have to explain talking to some of you. You really just quoted me as if I believe anything in Beliefs Instilled By Lost Enlightenment. But yea, let's get back to amen. Do you say that at the end of prayers.
Yes, he is. No, it isn't. I can hardly wait. I just hope it's not just one of those cut and pastes that talk about Jesus being born on Dec. 25, the Winter Solstice, seeing as Jesus was born around the first of Oct, not Dec. But then you'll have to disregard what you say. Once again, where did I say; you "purposely try not to do things that have already been done"? You said; "I don't respect followers". Doing what has already been done makes you a follower, so either you don't respect yourself or you don't do what others have done. Quite simple really. Really? Prove it. Lot's of people say that they are Christians and aren't. How do you know I'm not one of them? Maybe, I just like debating in favor of the Bible because so many are dismissive of it without having given it any thought. See the above. Actually it is, that is why they call it following in their footsteps but even if not, don't you think, as I've already pointed out, that it's pretty hard to do anything that you haven't already seen "someone else do", as you say? Yep, this is what you get. Oh, I'm not worried.
I see you edited your post since I started answering it. So I answered some you removed and didn't answer these, so here goes. I feel the same way except for the "shit" part. One of the definitions of follower is: somebody coming after: somebody who comes or travels after somebody or something else I give up, what in the world are you trying to say? Some yes, all of them no. The expression "amen" literally means "so be it" so saying it means that you agree with what is being prayed about and want it to happen, if you don't agree, you should not say "amen". Also there is no need to say "amen" after your own prayers seeing as you should already be in agreement with what you are talking with God about. Why do you ask?
Beliefs Instilled By Lost Enlightenment How in the fuck is it following someone when you're making up your own mind on doing something that just so happens to have been done before? I try to be respectful but you truly are an idiot. And actually, this is where amen comes from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun No wonder you're the one who always initiates that "my God vs your God" shit. You subconsciously really think there is more than one God.
:smilielol5:You crack me up. I quoted you the dictionary definition, now if you want to think I'm an idiot for knowing the actual definition of the words I use, well what can I say... Actually, No. Amen - This word in both English and Greek is a transliteration from the Hebrew word ’a·men′. The meaning is “so be it,” or “surely.” The Hebrew root word from which it is drawn (’a·man′) means “be faithful; be trustworthy.” At least try to get it right. Nothing subconscious about it, I know what you call God is not God.
Oh and your idea of a God that judges our every move and requires a multitude of religions to obey the same exact book is the real God huh? LMAO And actually, this is the dictionary definition of the word "follower": fol⋅low⋅er /ˈfɒloʊər/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [fol-oh-er] Show IPA Use follower in a Sentence See web results for follower See images of follower –noun 1. a person or thing that follows. 2. a person who follows another in regard to his or her ideas or belief; disciple or adherent. 3. a person who imitates, copies, or takes as a model or ideal: He was little more than a follower of current modes. 4. an attendant, servant, or retainer. 5. British Informal. a boyfriend or suitor, esp. of a maidservant. 6. Machinery. a part receiving motion from or following the movements of another part, esp. a cam. 7. Engineering, Building Trades. a concrete form attached to the head of a timber pile to permit casting of a concrete cap or pier. www.dictionary.com And Amen-Ra was an Egyptian God, that is where the word amen originated. The definition has changed but the origin of the word remains the same. Not surprised people who follow the bible chose Amen-Ra being that Ra is another name for the Egyptian Sun God. I've obviously done more research on your own beliefs than you have.
Where do you come up with this stuff? Very good and thanks for hi-lighting the definition that I've already quoted twice for you. Once again "amen" is a Hebrew word, not an Egyptian word. I don't know what you consider research but it seems you need a little more practice. Just because two words that have been translated into English from two very different languages seem to have the same sound and may be spelled similarly does not mean that they are even remotely similar in the languages they were translated from.
