I like to do some outdoor activities first, such as walking or jogging in nature. It makes the rest of the day less stressful. Lots of wildlife is out in the morning to view before it gets scared away later by people.
I get out of bed and shuffle around the house like Fred Sanford. Actually, I'm like that at work also, for the first hour or so. I hate mornings.
I'm all about the work early leave early. I usually get to work before 8 am and leave before 4, or sometimes 7-3, depending on how I feel. My work hours are fairly flexible which is nice. But usually I maximize sleep time--wake up, maybe do a very brief exercise or two, get ready, leave. I like mornings.
I get up at 6:45, shower, get dressed, eat some smoked salmon and yogurt and read the news while drinking tea. Out of the house by 7:45, cycle to work, at work at 8ish. Cycle back home at 3:30. Work from home once or maybe twice a week. I'm still pretty productive working from home, but I'd be lying if I said I'm more productive. All those surveys of people saying that they're more productive working from home are just lies told by a bunch of people who want to be able to be lazy and get paid for it.
