Hi, I appreciate that. Well, it's not meant to be formal. In my opinion it's a kind of politeness. We aren't in chat here. BTW, a story about one of our former cancelors comes to mind. There is a rumour that he had said 'you can say you to me' to a guest of state . That makes perfectly sense if you know that we distinguish between you and a formal you and if you translate the sentence word by word to german. But in english it sounds a little bit strange I guess. That is an expression of overwhelming joy . Regards Gyro
The only people that do it are BSR (who copies everything) and gyro...real forum revolution going on there.
I got a blank google page when I clicked on your link. I feel like I am missing something. These forums suck
It was a joke. Y'know how Glen signs off "Cheers Glen" and Hotwater is "Hotwater"? Like we were talking about a month or so ago? People have different styles and I like that. I don't mind "Hi" and "Regards ___"... Sometimes it's bigger than a page long sig! Who cares if you cheated. It was funny and clever. :cheers2:
Okay,,here's the secret: (speaks in whispered tones,,,) I googled,,,"i before e except after c exceptions",,, Shhhh,,don't tell anyone,,
