You could at least try to reach 123. That would make you the oldest person ever to have lived.

I am manic. And I always like to get the last word in. And I've been drinking caffeine.

That could contribute to "troll-like" symptoms. And the fact that I'm talking about race in one thread doesn't help either.

You know, I don't even read any other threads other than the ones I start.

What do you guys talk about on this forum? Lol.

All the other threads are about what a dick you are. ;)

    Thanks!

I kind of am, though. But I am working on it. I notice it when I am and try to change.

Me as a baby is dead. Me as a teenager is dead. Me in my 20's is dead. Me a minute ago is dead. Me in the future is dead.

    Does death exist? Not now.

Not true. You are still the same organism. Your cells are functioning, built into tissues, organs, etc.

Its a kind of Phobia, what you have to do, is take a deep breath, count to ten, then go do something to take your mind of it..its a very real fear.

from a young child I had the same traumatic dreams, and the over whelming fear...

Then when I was 28, I got cancer, it was a very real threat..i faught and won, then I got it again 6 years ago, I was able to laugh in its face, because although I know it will happen one day, and I watched both my parents die...it isn't having me till the very last breath...

be positive, and try the relaxing 10 count, it does work if you let it... but it is a phobia

yeah but the cells that comprised the vast majority of his body as a child have long since died and been replaced many times over, so is he really still the same organism?
or just the same general arrangement.

The same molecules in the nucleic acids that have simply divided. His cells of the present are copies of the cells from the past.

He is the same chemical reaction. And by that logic, he is the same chemical reaction as his parents, their parents, a fish that lived in the Cambrian period, and the first bacteria cell that evolved billions of years ago.

That's like saying pi is exactly 3.14. It's not.

Truth doesn't give a shit about convenience.

Science is fact. Math is a "science" of sorts.... pi is not exactly 3.14. No one ever said it was.

I remind myself of it as much as I can. Life is but a blink of an eye compared to the life of the Universe.

All I know for certain is I know nothing for certain. I LIKE to think our conscious goes on but at the end of the day I HAVE NO CLUE so I try to make the most this short time we have. I want to make a positive impact somehow before I go and live each day to its fullest.

Death is a reminder that this could be our only chance to live so might as well live the fullest life possible, experience as much as we can, meet as many cool and interesting and inspiring people as we can and help make this world a better place, even in little ways as much as we can.

This could be our only chance to exist so we might as well make the most of it.

For some it would make life more meaningful and worth living but for me it would only take away from living my life to the fullest. Such a burden was taken off my shoulders when I decided having kids is not for me. I just don't feel like I want that kind of responsibility. Its enough responsibility just trying to be a good role model to my little cousins and all the other ways I try to make this world a better place.

In this life I only have so much time...having kids...I don't have time for that.

i think the fact that the body i currently occupy, will eventually wear out sufficiently to no longer be able to function, will get along equally well, however i choose to deal with it, or fail to.

there have been people who have claimed to know more of death then that the body fails. i may from time to time have been one of them and may be again.

i may have my own ideas. that our preferences may span the gap from one death, to the next birth, of our own awareness, where little if any of memory, might more likely not.

there might even be something to see and feel between as well. forgive me for feeling the eternity of death no more likely nor inevitable, then the eternity of life.

nor that such a perfect judge exists, to determine an eternal fate. though many powerful, mysterious and invisible things my very well exist as well.
