About a million and a half people. A little small for a city that populous. Downtown has lots of local businesses, no subway, busses are really good though.

Driving there kind of sucks sometimes. I don't get on 35 (big interstate) at rush hour.

Tons of bands playing everynight and a lot of college kids. The city attract a lot of really succesful people, lots of bands (live music capital of the world), movies always coming through.

Theres bat's under congress avenue. You can take a little boat under congress through lake austin (which I believe is a river :D) and watch 'em as they fly out.

A lot of the party scenes happen between the river and 8th street. Sixth street is legend and the whole area closes down for traffic at night essentially because massive amounts of drunk people swarm the streets.

They do have a pharmacy and offer some health care at the universities.

Then theres the springs which stay perfect cool even in the hot summer, which is where all the hip kids go, I always make friends, I've got invited to a couple communes from there.

Hippies everywhere in Austin. It's overwhelming. :D
