You're missing the entire abortion debate. The debate is not whether or not killing babies is okay, the debate is whether or not aborting a fetus is the same as killing a baby (in my opinion, it is not, since it is not a human life yet).
As I have said maybe not here but in another discussion...special circumstances are ok (rape, incest and life of mother), but yes if you have sex then deal with it don't kill a baby. I never said make it illegal either you try to support life. I am oppressing no one, you just like to think in your head that us evil men are. And I brought up Obama your great leader once to make a point of him being against gay marriage.
but still.....I am not an advocate of abortion....but I am an advocate of freedom of choice. There is a difference., I will not play god and stand over someone else's decisions......
Same here. Personally, I can't imagine a circumstance in which I would counsel someone close to me to have an abortion, but I would never attempt to deny them the right to do so. Personally, I don't see a difference between an early abortion and using a condom. Both are artificially preventing a natural process from occurring, just at different stages.
Do you have a source for that? Because from what I can tell, the chances of survival at 20 weeks are extremely low. If it does survive, the chances of not having severe brain damage or other issues is very low as well.
Sorry, it's all because I said I hate Republicans. Vance has tried to make me love them, but it's not working.
A young woman I know had an abortion last year. In my opinion, given all the circumstances of that particular case, she did the right thing. I don't want to go into any of the details, but just to add my voice to those speaking up for freedom to choose on this thread. Here in the UK abortion is nothing like as politicized an issue as it is in the US.
I am wrong, 24 weeks the baby has a 40-70% chance. 26 weeks is 80-90%. So after 24 weeks I think it should be considered a life.
sometimes I don't actually read the title of the posts, and then get surprised when I realize I'm talking about abortion in a thread where someone asks for recommendations for information sources...
I did no such thing, but hate is a strong word for someone you don't even know. I tried to open the mind of one that is closed. I tried to make the blind see.
calling names gets nowhere. Why can't you just respect the fact that we are all different?....some may not see the things the same way you do, and voice their feelings about something.....It comes doiwn to respect and respecting the difference, sometimes, doesn't it? ...or do we all have to be clones of each other? again that is forcing......stop with that already...it never works.
I don't respect people who deny science, support torture, invade countries for no good reason and make the lives of the poor even harder. I will shut up now.
Yes - I read the OP then as I read on I actually forgot what I was going to post in reply to the question about getting better informed. Probably would have just got buried anyway under the other issues that have come up.
Was this to me? because I have no clue what you are talking about. I was "hated" by someone because I consider myself a republican. Where is the respect there? I never forced anything, I said I was trying to get someone to understand who I was. I was not forcing my belief on anyone no was I trying to make someone a clone. I believe I said "making the closed mind open" is that name calling? Because someone is so closed minded that they hate someone without even knowing them. Remember if you hate black people without knowing them that makes you a racist, yet political hatred is ok?
