How Come All The "hippies" Are Wearing Make-up?

i am so surprised and unbelievably happy to hear that ! your opinion isn't wrong. opinions can change, people can change, nothing has to be certain as long as you're happy. it's true, everyone is right in their own eyes, and it's incredibly wise of you to realize and understand that. you're a smart kid and i'm so glad you didn't let one incident ruin your experience on hipforums, because this is a really great place. and you'll fit in perfectly . so... i know you're not exactly new, but welcome to the family.

agreed, an opinion, and i agree with two different opinions on here. one, that we are beautiful how we are, and two, that you're free to do whatever you want as a hippie. free spirit, you know? plus, there's a difference 'tween someone wearing makeup out of a belief like women are not beautiful without it or their low self esteem and the wearing of it because they enjoy putting it on. i have stopped wearing makeup on a regular basis, because, agreed, i think that people are beautiful without it, and also because it feels better, easier, etc, but if i want to i'll put it on. maybe just cover up a lot of blemish, whatever. it depends on what you want. like any hippie, follow your heart. you say, "they're turning into stereotypes"-but you are a stereotype yourself to say any hippie with makeup on is no hippie. plus, there's no need to get offended by what people have to say

if a hippy cares about the enviroment...they can get natural makeup without collogen(sp) and all that shit, plus animal products and testing. BUt i personally find a natural face to be prettier. but if they want to wear face paint..no worries. All natural makeup kicks though.

 

You see, THIS is exactly what's wrong with the hippies. They talk of peace, love, and understanding, but then they turn around and revert to cheap insults.

 

WC, that's not true at all! Wasn't John all about the music? I dont think it would have mattered one iota what he wore, how long his hair was, or what politics he was into. It was his soul that was (and IS) the real deal, as it is with every human being.
