Update - its 6pm and rain and ice is comin down now- they,re must be over a foot of snow already on the ground- ************************************************ Tonight the "experts" are calling for> Heavy snow and blowing snow. Strong winter storm continues through tonight. Additional snow accumulation of 3 to 8 inches, along with up to a tenth of an inch of ice. Total snow accumulation of 15 to 21 inches. Snowfall rates, 1 to 3 inches per hour tonight. Winds: north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, diminishing this evening, then becoming northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph late tonight. Temperatures: in the lower 30s. Visibilities: one quarter mile or less at times. Timing: Light freezing rain and rain late this afternoon should transition to sleet and snow this evening, then change to all snow by late this evening tonight and become heavy at times. A few rumbles of Thunder are possible tonight. The snow will taper off after midnight.
