How cold is it where you are?

We're at 27F now and dropping to 12F overnight.

 

^^^damn that's pretty cold for that far south, no? would be balmy for up here though.
...and my temps are balmy compared to shivaya's -13 F.

it's been around 5 F this week. maybe as high as 10. wind chill around -5 or -10.

i've started wearing a face-mask style hat when i bike to work. it funnels my breath up towards my eyes though, and the moisture starts to freeze on my eyelashes. feels kinda funny. i could probably use some riding goggles. the cold has been enough lately to freeze my snot inside my nose.

 

Yes, 12F is cold for Atlanta. Our average lows in January are in the mid 30s.

42F right now, but it's been so cold lately. Dropping into the 20s a bunch. It's kind of good when that happens here though, keeps the vegetation under control.

But I've been wearing thermals + pants, thermal shirt, t shirt, work shirt, jacket, beanie, kerosene heaters running and still cold. I've been sick as hell for a week now also because of this weather.

 

Same here, it's been brutal. my fingers are numb before I finish a joint.

i know you're from the south, so we are a different breed.
plus i guess you're talking about working in the garage at that temp. i'm outside for 15 or 20 minutes each way, that's it.

it's 51 degrees, sunny and bright blue skies, minimal clouds.

furnace took a shit in the middle of the night, had to get a new burner.
it was -4 this moring.

still smells like fuel in here, but it,s to cold to open a window an air it out screw it.

 

I wanna try my luck ice fishing here soon. Been well below freezing for a while now
