It's 70 today in Tampa. We are leaving today and headed north but hopefully we'll miss the really cold weather. We have a few really long days in the car ahead of us. 24 hour drive. Ugh.
I think its around 36 F here now but supposed to drop down to 5 tonight. I don't think it has been that cold in my lifetime here.
I'm in a class called Global and Environmental Change. I've been in this thread a lot and realized everyone outside the US uses Celsius. I knew majority of the world did, but it never phased me until today. I'm really mad now! Every time he posted a temperature he showed it in Celsius and it occurred to me that I just can't wrap my mind around it! The boiling and freezing point of water make sense, but I can't grasp the other numbers! In other news, it is 6 degrees celsius here, I guess....
Oh I know what you mean. Its not in the negatives right now. But I left the house dressed for 55 degree weather (poly blend jacket instead of down or wool), mid thigh silk dress and tights. I was paying for it on the walk home and on the train once the temperature dropped to freezing it was painful! I commute by train/subway and walking - occasionally taxi. Haven't had the luxury of being inside a heated car for 2 years lol
I was wearing shorts at work this morning, 68* then it rained and went subzero on my ass. I think it's getting in the 20s tonight. I'll be wearing thermals under my work clothes tomorrow no doubt
I just went out and started my Jeep after letting it sit for a week. Luckily, it started right up because I may have to use it to jump my Honda in the morning. The battery in my Honda has been a little weak lately but it's started every day so far.
