how bad can you fuck up missing a shot?

well it should go down, it mighta been an artery, it happened to me plenty of times, i wouldnt fret unless it looks red and open and shit, no worries

Because they are both diseases, and they both result from certain systems and chemicals in the body not functioning properly, and they both need a substance for the patient to feel "Normal" and have their body behave normally.

How much do you KNOW about opiates? If you did, you would KNOW why I compared the two.

I stopped shooting heroin (although I still enjoy opiates) after I got the pox. Sounds silly, but I started getting all these red marks all over me and was really scared it was due to some kind of infection.

Actually, at the same time I managed to inject myself I.V. while the liquid in the syringe was still hot (had previously brought it to a boiling point). So as the I let the plunger down I just felt this hot liquid flowing through my veins, and within 15 secs. my whole arm was swollen! Woah, that was really, really scary (luckily the H calmed my nerves, I massaged the arm and went to bed anyway. The next day the swelling had almost gone).

I wouldn't recommend shooting street H, especially I.V., unless you're a destitute junky. It just doesn't seem worth it. Snorting it, with a dose just a little higher, is equally effective (although, of course, you don't get that sudden rush).

On the other hand, injecting pharmaceutically pure Morphine, provided you know how to hit a vein, shouldn't be a problem, health-wise (as far as I'm aware, OD notwithstanding, opiates are almost harmless for the human body).

 

swelling like that tends to happen if youve shot into the muscle rather than the vein. it sounds like youve may hav knicked the vein causing a slight bleed too. if your works were really clean though you should be ok. i have survived far worse. i havnt stuck a pin into myself for 6yrs now though, if i had carried on i'd have probably lost a limb by now. good luck, your gonna need it.
