The "resin" glands that cover the plant are called "trichomes". Under 30x magnifacation they appears as mushroom like growths that a clear to translucent. When they began to turn opaue (dark) it means they are begining to degrade (the THC degrades to CBD, etc). At some point, the amount of new THC being produced is supassed by the rate at old THC is breaking down. You must harvest before that point (the point of dimminishing returns) is reached. Exactly when- is an art, and a matter of personal preference. Generally, the later you harvest, the stonier the weed. An earlier harvest provides a more energetic high.
thanks for the info man.here are is a few pic I will try to get even better ones mabe you can tell how they look at this point.
My eye sight sucks. I can't really see the one On the right, but the one on the left looks like it's ripeneing fine, but is perhaps subject to a little too high of a temp. But i really can't see it that well. It's not the pic; it's me.
Bigger-but not clearer. (old age sucks!) Place the open palm of your hand under the light. If it's uncomfortatbly hot in two mins, it too hot for the plant. Plants like more or less the same temps people do indoors.
i can understand how someone might think it doesnt look like weed. they look like pretty waxy leaves, and theyre all curledup, not just on the bud. why did you make the pictuers so fucking big though? no one can look at them clearly, theyre too blurry when blown up to full size ps. youre deadshit
I read that on here once befor and did that and not to hot at all. how often do I chang the water and fert. and how much fert do I put in the water for the hydroponic system.
To do a proper job, you need a parts-per million meter (PPM), and a Ph meter. I don't remember off hand how many PPM you need, but it's easily looked-up. By keeping the correct PPM (that's dissolved solids to water ratio) and Ph, you can refrain from changing the nuit solution for long periods of time If you don't have a Ph meter, then go get a $6 tester at the pet store. It is absolutely nesacary that you monitor the Ph to avoid nuit problems. If you don't have a PPM meter, you must still watch the Ph. As the plant uses nuits, the Ph will change (as will a PPM reading). If there is a drastic change in Ph- change the solution. If everything is going smooth, change the solution every two weeks anyway. But to really make use of a hydro set-up, to maximize results, you MUST get a PPM meter.
You definetly have a fixed nutrient deficiency, more then likely Ca,take notice of how twisted all the leaves are around the flower, tall tell sign. They also appear to need more time from what the pics show.Without a jewelers loop to check trios, let em go till 50-70% of pistols have changed color.
I know that the plant needs more time to ripen. but what dose this mean. Without a jewelers loop to check trios, let em go till 50-70% of pistols have changed color. what do the pistols look like? are the pistols the white lil hairs. will the plant take less than or more than three months to ripen at this point?
yeh hes talking about the petals, the white hairs that go brown when they get older, like all flower petals do when theyve finnished their cycle. coloured hairs often lay claim to being more potent, but in the end, they generally all go brown anyway
That's correct, although some plants have red or orange or purple pistols. By "trios" he means trichomes.
