How anonymous are you Calgirl? I know you are getting a divorce, live in San Diego..if I know that, which is nothing...now, think about everything you have ever typed into a computer..does that tell more? does it tell everything?

Just ask and i will tell you every unencrypted thing i have ever put online. Ok now what are you gonna do with that info? Rule the world? Buy some newly discovered craft beer? Masturbate over the fact that i saw sleater-kinney in concert in may of 2004?
The only thing that i would (but dont have to)worry about is if i said i was gonna do something illegal. And if you do that maybe you deserve to be caught.

So, maybe your life is insignifigant and you have no worries, but do you have a facebook? People give up lots of info on there, friends, family, likes, hobbies, political views..all up for grabs to the highest bidder..

edit: did you really see Sleater Kinney?

I've typed in my credit card, and address, and phone number. I've confessed to wrongdoing. I watch porn. So I'm pretty revealing, but still....no one is that interested. I look out at the real world and internet world and all those out there are anonymous to me. Maybe it's me that isn't that interested.

Large scale data mining works because most traffic isn't encrypted.Using encryption means data collected about you has to be done through spear fishing instead of through a giant dragnet. There is encryption strong enough that in the year 2013 the time to compute the private key is near infinite. Effectively longer than the end of the universe.

By 2016 that won't be true, better algorithms and faster computers, potentially quantum computers. Tor is good for anonymity, but not for privacy. Do not use TOR to check your email, facebook, or browse hipforums.

Who cares what spy agencies see. They don't give a damn unless you're a potential terrorist or something. I'm more concerned with what friends, family, and potential employers see of my internet footprint

I dont have my real name on facebook and i dont put anything on their except for updates for friends or funny observations. Lets put it this way. I dont put anything on the net that i wouldnt want my mom, boss, friends or government to see....except for this site but i doubt my mom would ever see this site and i long since destroyed any evidence of anything illegal that i have said that i have done here.

I have seen sleater kinney over 10 times from 2001 to their last shows in philli and nyc
