How about my shitty fucking day.

I believe that many people who have either never been to jail or arrested, or at least been arrested by police who are professional about it, can have the opinion that police serve a more useful purpose that overides the evil some of them commit. But once you've slid through the legal system, been harrassed and beaten by police for no reason other than hatred and ego boosting, been insulted by judges, pushed around by prison guards, etc. you will begin to see why certain people have such a distaste for police and their practices. Yes, if someone attacks you and you call 911 you more than likely will be helped in some way and there are police officers who are chill as fuck. But overall the system is made in order to generate money, and they all get paid more when you go to jail. Why do you think prisons are just popping up in places that previously people said "A prison? Oh not in my backyard! I dont want criminals to decrease my land value." and now they are not only acceptable but profitable?
Look, I was pulled over once, strung out on morphine with pills in my car, and the cop looked at me and knew I was fucked, but his partner noticed my friend playing a gameboy and said "Yo is that Final Fantasy?! Yo what level is your party at!" and gave me a pat on the shoulder and told me never to run a red light again and pulled away.
But another time I watched my black friend get the shit beat out of him by several officers with no warrant and no traffic violation in west Philly, simply because there was a black kid in the car with white kids driving through a ghetto block.
It goes both ways but if you step outside of yourself and look at the big picture, its all about making money and all of us are game.

 

money??? no the police were created for social control/stucture... it has nothing to do with money because if you dig enough you will see that the cost of the police almost ALWAYS costs more than whatever crime was committed...

 

Yea that is what they were created for, but that's not what they are all about, that's what they are supposed to be all about. They get paid for writing more tickets and for making arrests like how other jobs pay for overtime, and the prisons generate money by having people in there, which is easy when things like marijuana are illegal and you can be locked up for not paying your fines. The side of the legal system that is severley understaffed, under funded, and generally very poorly managed, is the parole system which I am a part of currently. Half the time your PO is out and they dont have time to really deal with you, and the other half the time they run out of urine sample cups, and when they are there to deal with you they see so many people in day that they become irritable and pushy. The police are underpaid and treated poorly, so naturally when you are in a job that treats you like shit, your going to want not only more money but your going to project that shitty treatment onto other people, and thus greed and hatred are cultivated.

 

Though you are right Joker, it's true that they are hungry for control, I guess it's just that money is generally what gives one that position, and since police have the authority to take your money and your freedom, they are powerful haha

 

i in no way said "control hungry" i said they are used for social control and structure.. do you honestly think the world would be a better place without police? and personally i do not see a problem with using prisons for wrapping your latest microsoft software or being your friendly telecommunicator.. at least these criminals are being put to use.. i mean it could be put into use in better ways.. chain gangs? would be great... why adopt a highway when you can have a dozen convicts chained together in the mid summers 90-100+ heat picking up trash or repairing roads...

and you are right, cops are treated like shit and that treatment is projected onto others... so remember this next time you get pulled over or have a run in with a cop.. treat him nicely and you know what.. you might get off or he might not be a dick twards you.. though im not a big fan of cops.. anytime i get pulled over i treat them with respect.. they are a respected authority... just because theres one or two asshole cops you've dealt with doesnt make them all assholes.. that would be me thinking that every customer i cooked for was an asshole because i've cooked for a couple hands full of them in my life time....

as for nirmal... you did nothing wrong? the dopeheads did nothing wrong? im pretty sure you were buying dope.. which is illegal.. why.. because it supports an illegal industry.. do i believe in this.. no but its the law.. so.. by law you did something wrong.. the dealer did something wrong and the rest of the smack heads did something wrong...
it should be alright to buy dope but not sell it? so.. though your drug dealer did nothing "wrong" you'd rather see him go down than you? pfft.. typical junkie.. doesnt care bout anyone but themselves

i dunno... maybe its just me... but i have the understanding that though i smoke pot and pop other peoples pills every now and then.. i still understand that there is a chance that i may be arrested... why? because i know its ILLEGAL.. i can do all the bitching i wanna do and treat all the cops that arrest me like shit(though i wouldnt.. i put myself in this position, they are doing their jobs)... but the bottom line is i did something illegal and now im gonna deal with the consequences

I hate how in the video you posted the cops and reporters are acting all high and mighty when in all those mug shots, it's just regular, everyday people that are moms and dads and someones sister or brother or daughter or son, not some scum bags going around robbing people and killing. That kind of attitude is pretty sickening.

"Mother fucker I was like ONE BLOCK from my house when I was busted, how desperate is that?" AND they didnt find any dope on us at all...the way opiate addicts are treated in this country is fuckin pathetic...now..some of the people I got arrested with were very bad off you know... but one was a fucking judges assistant, one owned his own business, we all had jobs (one was a stripper), we were all relatively normal people you know but the media is making us out to be scum bag junkies who, because of our addictions, are somehow less equal than the "HOLY" fucking police. Youd think the police were like...the second coming of fuckin Jesus or something its bullshit.

 

I agree with Horace, heroin addicts should be put in rehab. It is a much better alternative to jail. You may want to live in your utopia where no one is forced to jail or rehab, yet the world does not function this way. You should really focus on reality and strive for forced rehab instead of prison... it would be a ridiculously huge socially liberal advancement.

You also need to learn to keep your mouth shut and not give cops attitude. The attitude doesn't help you, and is guaranteed to only get you into more trouble... no matter how self-righteous you feel about the cause.

You shouldn't do heroin though, and the fact that you do not want to go to rehab is slightly troubling.

Why is it troubling? I dont want to go to rehab. I dont know a lot of people who DO want to go to rehab, that aint got shit to do with wanting to get off dope.
Its not like there arent tons of other things I can do besides rehab...like DRUG COURT which is more than likely whats gonna happen to me because I didnt get caught with dope, I didnt get charged with possession...as far as everyone knows, we didnt buy anything and no transaction was made.

You think youre telling me something I havent already heard or that doesnt go through my head 1000x a day??
