just because we respect Mother Nautre and her blessings to us, doesn't mean we don't have the right to be pissed off and be angry just like other people, because thats what we are after all right, people? in fact we have more so a right to be pissed off because for too long we have been murdered and suppressed in the name of "science" and "religion" and "medicine". we have been called out as if we have no right to express emotion and rage at the smug and blithly smiling vile sorcerers of plant plasticization ( dont' you know that the majority of modern pharmaceudicals is derived from plants? ahahahaahaha of course you didn't) .
just because we are able to feel and express divine feelings of love and fellowshiop, it is too much to think we could pull out a sword slice the cutting edge and draw blood. as if we didn't have any to spill? as if we are less than human for the wanting to being individuals instead of conglomo regurgitation.

I have NO idea what your last post said. Really, it mad no sense. I don't know what a "pharmaceudicals" are. But, I do know that about 30% of pharmeceuticals are based on similar molecular structure of some plants. I have studied pharmacology.

Thought you didn't beleive in sources, and already KNEW that the people who tried to reproduce Backster's and Tompkin's "work" failed because they didn't "beleive" it. Have a single source yourself?

Everyone assumes that because you have health problems, it's because of what you ate and/or your weight, yadda yadda. I was not overweight prior to my illness and I always ate a well rounded, low saturated fat, low sugars type diet. I love the veggies. Even though I was from the south, thankfully my Mom didn't know how to fry foods and I never learned. Unfortunately, my leg ain't what it used to be and walking is difficult. My main form of excercise prior to the episode was hiking. More sedentary = more weight. But, I'm really trying to learn to love the exercise bike I've got.

I saw my crazy old dad this past weekend, his 80th b-day, and they dropped his medicines right before I came. He has paranoid delusions - don't laugh, but he thinks President Bush comes into his room at night and messes with him and his things. So he is all ramped (cycling) back up and agitated. They have had to move him to acute psychiatry to stablize him again and I know he's not treated as well there. But I did get to take him out to lunch on Saturday for his b-day and (I couldn't believe it!) there was a group of people on the corner with a "Honk for Impeachment" sign. It was the best birthday present my dad could have had!
The point is, without medicines, my dad's quality of life is awful.

Yes. especially when relatively healthy people blame you for it, because it hasn't happened to them, yet.

Blessing to them, too. They just don't know it.

 

It's just mind-boggling to think that those same people that are healthy and attacking those taking medication don't have relatives or friends in need of medication themselves! Don't they have any family? Do they have a blessed gene pool in which no one ever gets sick? Man, they should be studied.

The reality is that humans are living longer and healthier then they did 100 years ago. Medical science has made it so that humans can now survive things that used to kill you off within days.

Pneumonia? They have these wonderful pills that you take that actually dry the liquid in your lungs. At 16, I got double pneumonia..both lungs were filled with liquid. I was told that if I had ignored it for just a few more days, my lungs would have collapsed. Within a week and half...I was almost completely better.

Let's see, how many people kick the bucket from measles these days in the USA? not many. A half dozen perhaps.

People are surviving cancer for crying out loud!! Before our current medical technology, cancer was an automatic death sentence. A long painful horrible death! These days people have a damn chance.

Leukemia? Children are surviving leukemia every single day. They have the chance to grow up.

100 years ago, people were dropping dead from the common cold. We can now stop the cold dead in it's tracks with medicines.

To say that medical care and hospitals are bad is not only stupid and illogical it's also hypocritical because the only reason why any of us on this forum are alive now to post such irrational drivel is because of the human advancement of medical care.

i was in a pissy mood yesterday, and was just fed up with the whole attitude that 'if it didnt work for me, it's not going to work for you either'. if you were offended by what i had to say, i'm sorry about that.

there are some complemenatry approaches out there that i dont put much stock in, but there are some approaches that are amazing! i've seen some pretty spectacular recoveries from chronic illnesses and from disorders that supposedly have 'no cure'. i'm not going to get into all of my health problems or those of my family here in this hostile atmosphere. if i thought that there could be any kind of sharing of knowledge or increase in health by sharing my stories i would, but i can see that the only kind of interaction is going to be an attack

btw, i've got maggie on ignore, because i didnt want to read any more of her hostility. and please, maggies, dont troll people. if you have issues about this thread, keep them on this thread, dont follow people around the forums flaming them about plants in pain.

 

I don't beleive on can put a Modertor on IGNORE. But, I'm looking into it. My guess is, no.

nimh, proving someone wrong isn't hostile, making a joke isn't hostile, telling someone to "fuck off" and telling them they are idiots(as james did) IS. I didn't "follow" him. he came onto the WIF, of his own free will. And I have the right to make a joke. He should learn a sense of humor, I heard it can cure cancer.

Here is an example of societies stupidity. The skeptics can ignore this story as an urban elgend or something LoL.
This little girls family all contract and die of plague durring an epidemic. She is the sole survivor so people ask her if she did anything different that might have changed her disposition towards the disease. Turns out she threw away the potato peelings from dinner, but on her way she ate many of the potato peelings. The simple raw nutrition found in the peel is the sole reason for her immunity.
Stupidity would say its genetics. In fact it is a simple matter of mineralization!
Now I will mention something fun. There is an extremely high probability the people toiling away in labratories working off donations and grants for the cure are the ones throwing away all the raw, living nutrition. *
