Oh like those snobby bitches that live near me. Gotcha. I love riding bareback too. So much fun and more comfortable.
Last time I went was this morning. My boyfriend's mum owns quite a few horses and ponies. Before meeting her, I hadn't even sat on a horse. Now, I go riding whenever I get a few spare hours. It's awesome, I love the feeling of freedom you get from it. And my dog loves it too, she usually gets to come with me as she just runs next to the horse. I never went through the whole horsey phase when I was little like most girls seemed to, however I'm totally going through that now, hahah.
I never went through the horsey phase either, I just tried it a few years back! Love it. So cool you have the ability to do it whenever. So do you ride english style, kozmic? Cause, u know, hahaha
I didn't know it was called anything specific but based on how you described, then yeah, english it is. I don't do it so formally though, but my boyfriend's mum and her friends.. oh my god, they take it so seriously, they've got fancy gear, go to Windsor Park with the queen and wear silly hats. It's kinda funny but too much hassle I think. And yeah, a bit snobby too. It is nice to be able to do it whenever though, the paddock is only about a 20min drive from here. It's my nice little getaway from everything poopy.
hahaha thats hilarious. I could never do it os formally I actually hated all that crap. I just wanted to ride away haha.
Hands up who uses Cowboy tack and who uses English tack although we call it Irish tack. *hand up for Irish tack*
Western style is more common I would say. English style actually takes some learning and practice. I do both. But was taught English style.
get a horse and maybe if you write xzibit a nice letter he'd be kind enough to pimp your ride. get it a badass stereo, some neon lighting underneath, a pool table...
I never really gave it much thought. Truth is, I hardly ever anything on my feet other than a hemp anklet. That's why my friends call me barefootdude. My feet are as tough as leather, so I don't really need shoes. When I was asked to go horseback riding I just showed up barefoot. Now that I think about it, Native Americans have been riding barefoot for centuries and whenever you see people on TV riding horses at the beach, the rider is usually barefoot.
i was hardcore about riding till around my sophomore year in highschool when i had to choose between riding and music. i chose music, and i'm glad i did because it was definitely the right choose as far as my career goes. but someday i'll have enough money to buy a horse and remember my lost passion. i still ride whenever i get the chance, though. i learned western at first but rode english for years. i did shows for a while, but honestly prefer riding with a blanket or bareback through the trails and pretending i'm an indian.
yeah. lets go to the desert, zilla. and i mean, we may have to ride camels there. but lets go to the desert.
It's been like 6 years or so since I've been on a horse. Only western style here. My friend Chelsea had horses at her house and we'd always go ride around. Shes going to school now to be a horse vet, which is something she said she wanted to do in like the first grade. I don't think I know anyone else who knew their calling at that age.
I know, right? In grade four we had to decorate little paper men in the uniform of what we wanted to be when we were older. I had no clue. So I made my little paper man a little army paper man.
My Great Grandma had a ranch in Idaho, so I learned how to do it there when I was a wee lad. I don't get to do it very often, but I've been on some sweet camping trips in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho. Thats the best kind of camping right there, pack a few supplies in saddle bags and hit the great wide open with your trusty steed.
We went riding on my stepsister's horses when I visited Fort Worth around xmas. As a kid, I liked to do bareback mostly but got thrown a lot especially when we tried to race. My sister went to an english riding school and I use to laugh at her little outfit. My stepdad got paid to break horses in the 50s until he was thrown by a bronco and it stomped him to bust every bone in his hand. I've never heard to say one kind word about a horse.
drop acid and ride into the sunset in the desert girls i haven't ridden since i was 12 probably i loved it, i took it as an elective at school my parents couldn't afford to keep it up one of the houses we were looking at before moving here was a christmas tree farm, and the people were packing up and leaving to florida, he would have given me and my family the two horses they had, they had goats and chickens too fuck i really wish we took that house but a small little high way was going to cut the land in half i learned english too i still have my helmet but my head's a little bigger now
