My advice is that you open up a little bit. You're not going to change anyone's mind by attacking him. Things get sticky when you start criticizing someone for his prejudice while holding your own.

 

Yes, I understand that... but fear is different from fact and opinion.

 

I'm not quite sure what you meant by that, but I think you're saying that anyone who is against homosexuality is literally "homophobic." I don't think that is true. I think it is possible to believe genuinely that homosexuality is wrong without fear being involved in any way.

 

Wrong. It should not have the power to legislate morality because:

A.) There is supposedly this thing called separation between church and state. Morality (as it is applied to issues such as abortion and gay rights) largely stem from religious beliefs.

B.) Yer morality and my morality may not be the same, so how can the government (rightfully) make laws justifying either one?

 

First off, chill out. Secondly, I am not talking about the government here. I am talking about the right of an individual to hold any opinion he wishes. In the future, I would suggest paying attention to the content of the conversation before jumping in.

anyways...your right, my view doesnt have anythin to do with the government law but surely all these 'white guys' your referrinf to believe homosexual practice is wrong because of their spiritual beliefs in gods law which clearly states that a man should be with a woman...?

i know and understand that some people are gay, as in they are attracted to people of the same sex...i know this becuase this includes me...HOWEVER i dont think it is right to act upon theses feelings becuase of gods law and becuase of his intentions for his people. please explain how this could make me a hyprocrite?
