i'm from new paltz, NY and its also a very beautiful, very hippie-friendly college town. not far from woodstock.

You mentioned Toucson, AZ, and an end time prophet .................. ... I too, know those teachings well. (although we attended some of the offspring churches in other states) ... And like you I also feel that many years of my life were wasted when I could have simply been happy and free .... and yes it is very hard to "untrain" my mind from things Ive been taught all my life. Im pretty sure we are talking about the same cultish religion... does it also involve teachings of the 7 Seals, and Revelations, and Malachi ...... and do its followers call it "the Message?"
