I'm just a person who shares the socail and political believes of alot of people around the world. I don't like to but myself into groups... I may at times but it is not in my belief the but myself in a social class or standing... I'm just a human being :) Everyone is entitled to believe in some kind of god or spirit or being. I just don't choose to worship a single one. I like to pray to all gods.... gods of the humans, gods of the spirits, gods of the earth, to all gods.

im a christian and because im not perfect i guess you could call me a poser, it's impossible to follow all of the things in the bible cause we're humans, jesus even said so. christianity isn't about following a load of rules that were given to us ages ago, but celebrating the fact that god's son died for US just because he loves us, unconditionally - which is what moonlightdelerium was saying about. it's easy to judge someone just because they believe something and they aren't doing it to the word, but that doesn't seem very 'hippyish' to me.

    maybe i'm wrong, who knows...

It's not really that.. sure, everyone screws up at some point or another. But it's a little different if you're just putting on an act and aren't sincere about it, for whatever reasons.

I'm not judging christianity. I honestly believe the message Jesus was trying to convey was unconditional love and forgiveness. The only thing is some people take the bible and use it as a way to seem self righteous which I don't like. We are all equal, we all have blood running through our veins and we will all someday die. Might as well love eachother why we're here.

Yea well how about the 'whore of babylon' isnt that from the bible? wel me, myself and my family are christians, because i beileve in one God and his son Jesus who saved us all from our sins. and hes not a mean God, he loves everyone no matter what. just because ur 'christian' doesnt mean that u have to be all perfect. because nobody is perfect! and everyone is a hyprocrite in some way. and yeah, some people use their religon in a bad way or not in a very good way. but hey were all people here! all equal!!! but i beileve there is good hearts in all people no matter what.

I believe people feel harshly towards Christianity and other religions by basing their opinions on the religion on the radicals of the religions when you know that all groups have radicals.

I believe that some people's intentions are in the right place, but we just can't always live all the way up to our ideals. People call me a hippy around work, just because i try to eat organic food, i have an organic garden in my backyard, i support a clean environment, and I generally have "progressive" political views of peace and equality.

But, the fact that a label is put upon you implies that you are everything that that label's definition is. ANd the definition can be different from person to person, some people may have positive thoughts about "hippies" and some people may have negative thoughts about "hippies" which is why i try to stay away from the labels all together.

Also, i've met some awsome christians, that even post on this site and can accept the "hippie" values and principles, much like some "hippies" can accept christian principles and values.

I also believe in Jesus and his teachings, but the bible takes it too far in my opinion. I think Jesus is the ultimate model for the developement of a human being.

I have my own take on that, but to someone that doesn't understand, just what does "god's son died for US because he loves us" mean????? I mean, we can say that over and over, but what does it mean to our deep human core?

just trying to spark a good convo. =)
