I recently dated someone who was named Tora Spring-Gloria Thats about as hippie as you can get. My sister is named Karma, but my parents are about as far away from hippies as you can get.
My parents are the anti-hippies... hence "Tara Nicole", my name. I was named after the plantation in Gone with the Wind, which was my mother's favorite movie. I always liked hippie names, though... Rainbow is so cute. But i'm pretty much set on, if i have a girl, naming her Violet Rose, and if i have a boy, naming him after his father.

I thought about changing my name before... I still do sometimes. Not legally, but just introducing myself as something a little unconventional. I'm not really a hippie, I don't like to label myself. But I love unusual names.

I kinda put together my name. Some friends in SacTown, Cali call me Kaiser, because my family's German; and some freinds in Red Bluff, NorCal call me Sunflower because I love to eat sunflower seeds; and my lucky number's 4, so I put it all together, and came up with Kaiser 4 Sunflowers.
i was originally named Autumn when i was born and 2 hours after delivery my named was changed to Courtney so bland.

Nah. I got stuck with Megan Rae... My dad wanted to name me Rae as a first name, and I wish my mom had let him... My 61 yr old dad was a hippie, still is as far as I can see... and my mom was very folksy etc., but I don't know whatever happened to that over the years... Either way, I sort of despise my name.
