Hi all, I am Joseph. I am not from the U.K. However, I do consider myself an Anglophile. I have never been to England, but hope visit someday. I have yet to meet anyone from the U.K. that I did not like. I work as a mechanical designer for a think tank in California. I am into music (All kinds of music.), Action, SciFi, and Fantasy movies, computers, and have fun. <(^o^)>
I am new to the UK just moved here from NJ, USA in May to be with my hubby. I love it here but I have no connections and no real likeminded friends would love to meet some new people.

Hey all you happy peeps. When I last posted I was moaning that I wouldn't be around much longer because I could only post from work, and I was probably about to get fired. As it's about 4 months since my last post, well, you can probably guess what happened. Still I'm back in a new job. Working nights at a hotel. I'm the only one here! He he he! All night! He He He! With no supervision! Ha Ha Ha!! And a BAR full of ALCOHOL!!!! LUMMEEEEE!!!!! oh, and a computer. So say hi peeps. Oh, and they stopped everyone from using the computers since they were using facebook instead of working. So they are all password protected now. Fortunately I'm unsupervised and am pretty good at hacking passwords. Or at least it turned out I was. he he.... I'm rambling again aren't I? Yes? Ok. HI PEEPS!!!
Hey kittykat... that is funny; I too recently moved to the UK (east anglia) from NJ! In the same boat as you - no connections or like minded friends. Wish us both luck, eh?
Hello to all! Another UK newcomer here. Well, newcomer in inverted commas as I was on these forums a couple of years ago, but my stuff from them is now lost in the mists of my memory. Not the only thing that has gotten lost too, and that's mainly why I'm here. I want to find parts of myself that seem to have been eroded by the passage of my life. I'm not sure I like the look of where I'm heading either so the time is right to try and fix it. As for the boring stuff, well, I'm a guy, 33 years old although I currently feel much older! Think that's about it for now, but as said, hello to all and it's nice to 'meet' you!
:iamwithstupid: Welcome back JD, whoever you used to be... and welcome back dreadlockswampy ... not that you've been away any more than usual, you just pop up on here every month or so:tongue: Always nice to see you! Hah. I'm not drunk.
Nice... I was just at The Slug getting mashed this past weekend. BTW, you know any decent pubs in Cambridge that aren't completely packed with tourists and students over the weekend?
The Devonshire Arms, down on Devonshire road near the train station. Great pub, good live music pretty much every night, and cheap (for Cambridge) drinks. If you want a good goth night that's not packed with tourists go to The Calling at Kambar
