Hip Planet Gathering 2007

I honestly think that with a concerned effort we could pull 40-50. Make it a 3 day weekend type of deal. I think the overseas thing would be rather difficult to pull off though, atleast for those who are in the US and Canada.

Not to mention with a group of that size plane tickets would not be as expensive.

If anybody would be interested in really trying to put something together, I'd have no problem doing anything I could to help. Unlike with this steffan fellow, I think a group of regulars(those who have been here for a few years) would help peoples confidence in the legitimacy of such an event.

As I said before I think next summer would be bad for proper preperation, but I think if in the next month or two a group pulled together to organize something for the summer of 2008, we'd be able to get a fairly large turnout.

 

I'd go, as long as there arent 20 dudes and 1 tranny

Well geez - shut my mouth - I been offering our place for years (175 A.) - almost got it going 6 years ago - even had some bands send some front people (shamans yet) to check us out - guess we did not pass the muster - they went away, shaking their head, saying there was too much work to do.
But respecting HHB & Dili - I'll withdraw any thought of opening my mouth - uhuh yeah so shut my mouth fill it with sweet potatoe pie......
HHb been having gatherings for yrs - so've we - but never with many people - he usually has more than we do up here - plus the best time may well be not in the summer but the fall - summers are getting hotter - noticed ?

Get the ball rolling and it may happen - leave it for someone else to do and it never will.

Naw HHB - t'was just pokin fun at myself - and being somewhat truthful as I would not want to shut y'all out just because of fucked up bureaucracy.

Yeah I agree and the work would be huge too.
But the outcome would be a blast.
We have enough people on here and talent that if we all showed up it would be very much an event.
Music alone-would be a very big band.
Ever (yes laugh) see the Polish Woodstock Event they do every year?
They bring in over 300,000 people too. It's well run and the closest your ever going to get to a Woodstock Festival.
What would be kool is meet in Amsterdam and then go over to Polish Woodstock and cap off the trip there.
We might also have to do one here on this side of The Atalantic and one on that side.

Humm No I don't but I meant party in getting to hang out with him and have some fun.
I have had some heated chats on here with him and much of stuff he told me once was right on. I just did not want to hear it at the time.
Also, I have been on here for almost ten years and I remember when he first put up some pics on the galleries.
He's an old timer on here and has seen lot's people come and go too.
The pic was him on this bike and he looked out of his freaking mind. Then came pics of farm stuff and dead animals and all sorts shit.
I had my own little farm in New England years ago and his life reminded me of mine back then.
So it would be kool to meet him face to face.
Alos a lot of other people on here I have known since they were eary teens.
Now they are young women and great long time friends.
There are people on here who know more about me then my off line friends.
Plus I have been in relationships with people I have met on here too.
