Hip Forums Festival/Get together?

    that's not a bad idea, but i'd imagine it would be better to have one that is centrally located first to establish a base population for the fest, since like someone earlier said they tried this before but there wasn't much of a turnout.

    idk if anyone is experienced with putting together events. but laws and money can become a pretty big issue.

    yea, so different gatherings on or around the same date. could be at pre-existing festivals or something. (hence my east coast- gathering of the vibes idea) people could post with pictures and videos of the chilling. idk. maybe this would work, maybe not.

    Your best bet to meet up is at a POPULAR event where thousands attend. They will have proper facilities, security, camping setups, etc. Far better than trying to organize your own meetup.

    BTW, Hip Forums does not endorse ANY MEETUP. After the failed one in Oregon, I believe many learned their lesson. Don't trust any ONE PERSON to put together a meet as you'll undoubtedly be disappointed.

    Many Hip Forumers have met up in Amsterdam on Queen's day. It's now an annual event, but it's lost its hipforum focus anymore. Hell they don't even mention Hip Forums on their T-shirts anymore... (not that I ever got one!)

    people already travel the world for this party. and ive never been to burning man (plan to this year) but i imagine ACL is a lot more manageable. AND centrally located!

    Here on the west coast it could be the Seattle Hempfest, the Oregon Country Fair, Reggae on the River, etc. Just post a thread in the Events & Festivals forum that you want people to meet up in this particular area of the event in a certain timeframe and wait for them with a Hip 4-ums sign. Meet & greet, say hi, get high!

    Id probably be down for bonnaroo, gotta be a few worthwhile bands though. I don't think I could swing burning man anytime soon.

    meeting up at vibes would be cool, dsnt have to be THE east coast meet if we have one but im almost positive i will be in attendance so if anyones going to be there and wants to meet up let me no.

    back to the OP tho i think meeting at an established something would be best and id do my best to make it. cool idea n sounds fun. maybe a smaller fest? set up a HF enclave? hell maybe even populate it. just a thought
