    Not so absurd, really.

So basically, without the use of words like akashic, Hinduism, information, frequency, substance, tune, we can say that people say things about certain things, and if we like what we hear and want to live it for ourselves, [lets call this process "making expectations"], we first set out to do this something, then we apply and compare the experience of this something in terms of what we've heard, essentially giving the experience to something else rather than experiencing it for what it is by itself. This only leads to --> Disappointment, misunderstanding.

And now that some of us may associate LSD with ego-loss, enlightenment, "Eastern philosophy", we may judge our experiences as good or bad in terms of whether or not that which was expected, was experienced.

Is that it brah? Or are you just saying something totally more out there? This is personally what I've come to find through a million mind fucks. It seems like what you're saying has a similar quality, but I am not entirely sure.

    Good days brahhh

something more out there. there is literally a "field" type process/situation/thing which stores information about whatever this field is for (everything you can think of has its own field; dogs, chinese poetry, literary deconstructionism, longbows, anal sex, influenza, electricity, etc), and there is a feedback process wherein the field dictates the manifestation of the specifics and the manifestation of the specifics dictates the field. So a large scale change to many specifics will alter the field for that specific, which will then continue the alteration to other and future specifics.

OP is asking whether the general stance or attitude or whatever of hinduism can be found within the field of LSD.

Yeah, I agree. But we can break that down. What is this attitude? What constitutes it? Why call it Hinduism and limit it to that if it can clearly expand itself through other means? This implies LSD. This implies meditation. This implies the act of gratitude and compassion when they are actually acted and not played.

As for wherever you are going with the fields thing, I think you need to elaborate further. You call it a literal field yet it is actually an idea.

well the idea of a field for discrete "things" is silly, because there is no such thing as discrete "things" in reality, we only chop up the universe with our mind. It is a continuous field of phenomena.

All that to explain all comes together to form one? Why is such a simple message getting so many layers of this other shit over it?

A different perpective : have you ever thought the information and knowledge is inside of you and LSD taps into it? :p

Yep. Humans are essentially awareness in essence. Subtract yesterday, tomorrow, your name, all of your thoughts, including potential inner monologue/dialogue, your emotions, and all you have is somebody who is completely staring forward into the present, objective, aware, free. Deep levels of what someone might consider "uncommon sense", knowledge, seem to spring about on their own, without any actual effort that extends beyond being present. Knowledge of the whole rather than the individual, acts for the whole rather than the individual. Compassion.

This is very strange. I totally agree with you. I have spend hours upon hours tripping on acid and reading the bhagavad gita. It seemed so much easier to grasp those concepts while tripping, because I could literaly SEE the concepts as truth in the world around me. All the talk of matter and energy is so easy to comprehend when you can SEE energy swirling around you.
I have put this energy thing to the test. One time I was tripping and was focusing very deeply on my own energy field (or Aura, as most would call it). I could build up my energy inside my body, shoot it out my finger (using visualization- I internally visualized it coming out my finger and pushed it out physically, if that makes sense)... then I actually saw this yellow light shoot out my finger. I was sitting next to one of my friends, who is very open to these kinds of ideas. We placed our index fingers about two inches apart from eachother. She wasn't tripping at all, but sure enough, every time I shot this energy out my finger she could feel it. She would say "that was a big one". She said she couldn't see it, but could only feel it. This only added to me amazement, because I could see it perfectly. It proved to me that it was there, and that I WASN'T hallucinating, only seeing perfectly this natural energy that is always there. I have since tested this on many trippers. I guide the energy out my finger, when I am not tripping myself and cannot see it, and sure enough every time the tripper is amazed and stares at my energy resting on their finger. One time a girl said my energy stayed on the tip of her finger for over five minutes "ITS STILL THERE!!" haha...

^ Yeah man. I've had my share of experiences like that tripping. They are always phenomenal and mind blowing to say the least, and all though you don't quite know why it's there, what it's for, what's being forgotten etc, you just know it lends itself to that "something more". You can't quite put your finger on it, but it's there. It's real. You no longer only have heard about it, you've experienced it. It may tell you not to shut out new possibilities just yet, or even at all for that matter. Mind expansion. These experiences are what showed me that divisions really are mind made, nothing ACTUALLY separates us as humans, even if we seemingly exist in separate bodies with seemingly different minds. Spiritual connection is evident - a happy man makes happy, maybe not always, but it's clear that good vibes reach out. And that's only one example.

Right, and not just with people... with everything! Everything is made out of the same thing. The energy I experienced shooting out of my fingers is made up of vibrations, just like my skin, the ground, a tree... just that the latter are DENSER. There is no straight line in the universe, no border that really seperates things. If you could see the big picture you would realize that we are not seperate at all, with the earth, eachother or the universe. We are the same thing, one and all.

but when it comes down to it, the real question is why.

sure we are all connected, and we can bask in the infinite glory of our connection all day, but for what purpose? true understanding is found in why.

we enter into these realms under our own authority. not the authority of the higher presences that reside there. why would we be able to enter these realms if we were not supposed to? well because we have free will, and the beings there have to comply with our will, our rather, they allow our free will to preside.

if you look at any kind of true religion that has a real connection with the divine, like buddhism and such, they do not travel to these places under their own authority. kundalini awakening is a long and tedious process that is not for everyone. the dalai lama was chosen by the elders of the buddhist religion, not because the leaders were blind, but because they could see his karma. once your karma is correctly aligned with the higher dimensions then you may freely choose acess them, but this isn't as simple as taking acid. ever heard a story of someone entering a higher dimension and the beings there being offended and simply saying 'what are you doing here?' well, the same thing can be applied to alot of things. i have known people that freely acess these sorts of things without the use of psychedelics. they can do so, because it was naturally gifted to them. but even so, they still only do such things under the correct authority.

the akashic record is open to those who it belong to, and to those who seek it. but truly, it only belongs to those that it was gifted to. this happens under authority which is greater than our own, or by a co-accordance of our authority with others. it is open to everyone, but it doesn't work like 1, 2, 3 presto!

just my 2c about acessing things like this. not a very complete thought but i have to go. much love and peace. :D

this reminds me of when i was tripping and i was sort of trying to engage in some sort "spell casting" and i was listening to my record player and like my movements were so swift and like i could just feel this energy moving through me and it seemed to shift the speeds and tones of the record player. At one point i got so into it that i was spinning around in my room in this violent matter and ended up tripping over my "Modern Magick" book and for some reason it just freaked the shit out of me. I swear though man as crazy as it seems i feel like i tap into shit.

What does tripping have to do with it? My general view agrees with that of another poster that it's all already inside of you it's all just a matter of tapping into it. Tripping seems to aid in this process. But why? it lowers conditioned behavior? How exactly does tripping momentarily whipe away the ego? Like scientifically speaking?

the authority of the realms in which the 'akashic record' of various drugs is stored. you guys are talking about a 'pool' of knowledge so to speak that is acessed by certain chemicals. i believe that this 'pool' is actually stored in other dimensions, so to speak.

i agree. i guess that really that tripping can be used as more of a catalyst. although honestly in my opinion sometimes it is hard to tell whether tripping allows you to acess realms which you might not have otherwise, and if this is a good thing. hallicinogens are 'entheogens' after all.

there are those people who are more receptive to the psychedelic experience on the other hand. where one person might see lights and colors another person might have a mystical experience(or well, percieved to be anyway.) so i guess that even within people that use hallucinogens there are differences in cognitive percption.

either way, it raises an interesting question.
