Whatever some people on the internet convey, its the syrians who have to live with him. If you pay some effort you will find out the far majority of syrians really do not want him. Not during the last election either.

 

Not my words. And not the inevitable conclusion after acknowledging he isn't and has not been a proper leader for most syrians. And is actually directly responsible for innocent deaths (started with his violent reaction to peaceful demonstrations and continues to this day)

He was not a fair ruler. There just was relative peace and stability. Now most people want peace and stability again but not under this leader who favored his own people in peace time and fucked up atrociously in the war after that. So even if he was really legimite before this mess (which he wasn't), he really isn't one anymore.
It's not just my opinion and you can deny this stuff all you want (why though? ). All this doesn't matter to me personally. I'm just telling you: a lot of syrians were displeased with him before the war for valid reasons, which caused sensible protests. I can see how others perceive him as a legitimate leader until then. I disagree though. After that he undeniably ruined it for himself. It doesn't really matter how you or me, or the rest of the international community views this: the majority of syrians are fed up with him. For very valid reasons.

It's no secret that what we get fed as democracy is bullshit. Also well know how easy it is to brainwash and manipulate the masses through the media.
